We have stayed at other Ritz Carltons, but this was our first at a Reserve. The resort is immaculately landscaped with beautiful flowers and gardens. The room was spotless and well maintained. We had a large tastefully decorated bedroom with floor to ceiling views of the water (upper level suite) a large closet and dressing area, and huge bathroom with shower, tub, two sinks and another separate extremely large vanity. The room had a minibar with plenty of bottled water, coffee, tea and a small fridge with drinks and snacks for purchase. Our room also came with a private plunge pool and large patio with lots of spacious loungers and table and chairs. (There were some small shades for the loungers, but we would have actually preferred more shade due to the intense sun.) The outside area was private due to well placed walls etc. It actually felt like you were staying in your own private condo overlooking the ocean. The resort has a fitness center with lap pool, family pools and an adults only pool and beach access with attentive staff. The beach was closed for walking while we were there due to a recent storm that passed through a few days before our arrival, and never reopened during our stay. The resort itself showed no evidence of a storm however, with not even a branch or flower out of place. The resort has a beachfront seafood restaurant (closed during our visit), a nice grill restaurant, a lovely open air family style casual restaurant, a coffee bar with desserts, muffins, scones etc, and a beautiful cocktail bar. We ordered room service and the food was delivered promptly by the most delightful staff, and our orders were always perfect, no matter our special requests (not the norm when dining in the states). We visited the spa for a couples massage which was wonderful. We also had an hour in the private spa pool before the massages, and an hour in a private hot tub after the massages. We also scheduled the Savasana Experience (sound room treatment) at the spa, and found it not relaxing for us in the way it was designed (just our opinions). I have seen reviews mentioning that the resort was hilly, but we didn't notice this at all. We normally visit Mexico in the winter, and did find the September temps a little high for us, but did feel lucky that we had sunny days during our entire visit. We have stayed at Los Cabos before and did prefer the quiet more relaxed nature of San Jose del Cabo and Zadun. We never heard other people or noise from any other resorts. The biggest thing that we noticed about this resort however, was how we were treated by staff. We have stayed at many wonderful resorts, but noticed that the Zadun staff really could not have been better. From the drivers, housekeepers, room service and spa staff, restaurant staff and every single staff we ran into during our stay, they were just the friendliest and most helpful and attentive. They really tried to go out of their way to make sure that y
My wife and I spent 3 nights at Mar Del Cabo for the July 4th weekend. The resort was clean, quiet, and relaxing. The night we arrived there was a fireworks display and a BBQ buffet to celebrate (US) independence day. The event was a blast and made us feel very welcome. I was most impressed by the staff, they are very dedicated to providing great service. They are also very friendly and easy to talk to. I would like to thank in particular Sergio Damian, Maria Escobar, Pablo Gonzalez, and Eufracia Munoz for making us feel at home on our first trip to Mexico. We could have stayed at a number of resorts, but we will be returning to Mar Del Cabo because we felt it was a great value based on the price point, amenities, and most of all the service! Thank you to all the Mar Del Cabo employees that made our trip so memorable! Until next time...
The hotel is perched on a hilly location but with a fantastic view of the sea. The rooms are well presented with all the modern amenities present to make it feel homely. The only issue was the wifi which can be unreliable sometimes as it kept cutting off. There was no information about any activities, I only stumbled on the live piano night at the bar through the advert in the lift and that was the only nightly activity that we attended. It would have been nice to have live music or other activities nightly. The rooms are cleaned daily, if you are opting out of the all inclusive, which e did, you have all the amenities in the kitchen to cook your own meals. They also run a porter service where you can request to be picked up from your room by buggies to transport you to different restaurants or the main reception as this resort is huge..
This property is situated where every room has beautiful views of Cabo San Lucas for sunset watching. There is a pool for every other building so, you can probably find a quiet pool somewhere close. It is a walkable 15 minutes to the nearest supermarket and a shorter walk to Oxxo. Bus routes are in front of the supermarket so not far to catch public transit. The condos are quite large and could easily accommodate a family or two couples, as each room gets a full bath with shower. The property is about a 10-15 minute walk down to a swimmable beach at Playa Cabo Bello. You can cut through the Misiones Del Cabo condo complex and use the stairs to get there otherwise its a long walk through the Cabo Bello condo complex. On the negative side, the condos are a bit run down, and we had a number of technical problems with hot water, AC, Fridge, TV remote. All were fixed within 48 hours but glad i knew Spanish to explain the problems. The appliances were a bit cheap and functioned ok, but not great. We tended to cook in our condo due to the outrageous prices at any of the local restaurants. If money is not a problem then I am sure you will enjoy a nice breakfast for $$$ at the restaurant.
Best treat for myself and love ones. Love coming here every year. It never gets old. The entire property and rooms are always impeccable. Staff are super nice. The best part is coming back and seeing similar faces. We are always excited to see the same crew and getting to meet new peeps. This year at Las Olas we received amazing service by Mariela, Jonathan, Ricardo, Dorian, Victor, Francisco. It's always a treat to be taken care by Jerry (Gerardo) and Isaac at Las Brisas. La Roca had a whole new crew but all the servers were exceptional. We always feel so special! Thank you for another great week!
Alberto helped us to and from our room. He was prompt, efficient, and handled our items with such care! Everytime we seen him during our stay, he made sure we were being taken care of properly. Thank you so much for a great experience! The entire staff at Pacific Dunes are extremely helpful. Can't wait to come back!!
ゲゲストI called 6 hours before check in to find out if we came before 3:00 check in time, would I be able to get into our room. The front desk manager told me there wouldn't be a problem. When I got there at 2:00 she told me that we would have to wait until 3 pm for a room unless I wanted to pay to upgrade to a suite. She did find me a room, it was a queen, and cost less however she still charged me for a king. The handicapped parking spaces are behind the hotel and you need to be able to climb 9 stairs. I asked if the manager was there and she said yes. I asked to speak to him and he never called me. I have stayed at this hotel about 6 times and there must be new bad management. About the room, it's very tired. There was a can light over our bed that flickered on and off all night. I always check the clock in the room and this one was off 1 hour. How long ago was the time change? This is my go to to see if a hotel is well run. This one isn't. My husband couldn't shower because he wasn't able to climb into the tub. The kings have walk in showers not tub showers. In all the years of being a care taker this is the first time that this has happened. Karma will pay that front desk manager a visit. I hope she remembers why. Thanks to the maintenance man that helped my husband stand up. He's one of the good ones.
Had a harrowing experience at OYO Hotel Plaza Las Torres in Cabo San Lucas – an urgent warning for fellow travelers. We booked a stay, requested a one-day reservation change due to unforeseen issues. Upon arrival, shock awaited us – the hotel charged the full fee for the new date, demanding the remainder without clear communication. Front desk staff, struggling with English and relying on Google Translate, suggested seeking a refund from *******. *******, however, revealed the hotel's responsibility for charges. In the scorching heat, over an hour of frustration ensued, with repeated pleas for assistance met with silence until insisting on restroom use. Misleading charges, unhelpful staff, and a refusal to refund make OYO Hotel Plaza Las Torres an experience I wouldn't wish on any traveler. Besides all of this the description says the hotel is close to downtown but once you arrive you notice you’re at least a 20 minute walk from the edge of downtown and seems to make you feel uneasy with the amount of misinformation and the disinterest to help.
