ゲゲストSolid place to stay. Very quiet and off the beaten path with a wealth of amenities. The staff were kind. However, check in takes too long and I wasn’t informed of the $150 deposit. I was told it may take up to 30 days to return. The rooms are a bit dated but they’re nice. My light didn’t work but there were several lamps. There’s a dollar tree and family dollar across the street but not much else within walking distance. Good if you have a car or maybe with friends as the amenities are robust.
This was one of the worst experiences for my team to stay at a hotel. First of all the guy that works evening shift on Wednesday 08/07/24 was super rude to my employee as well as me. I was trying to call the hotel and he kept picking up the phone and hanging it up refusing to answer the phone. Who does that? No one needs to be at the front desk that behaves like this. Then when my employee got there he was rude to him as well. Then when I called to speak to the General Manager in the morning they refused to let me speak with them and asked me why I wanted to speak to the GM. That was Ruta that refused to let me speak with the manager. We won't be coming back to this hotel EVER AGAIN. I hope people read this and keep moving to another hotel because the stay was not worth all the hassle. And just in case you want to find the reservation it was under James Warren Room 229. Didn't bother to apologize but just tried to cover over their unprofessional behavior by placing the blame on my team. PLEASE PICK ANOTHER HOTEL. Then they tried to blame everything on my team to cover up their rude behavior and this was my response: Now you want to lie on our team and try and cover up your staff and their rudeness by trying to blame my team? Now I see why your team behaves the way that they do because you cover for them by placing blame on your customers?? Are you seriously kidding me. We have pictures and proof of the whole episode and it was All RECORDED BY VIDEO SO YOU CAN HEAR EVERYTHING! I was actually on the phone during the check in so you are busted in your accusations. I am taking this further and since you want to lie about the incident I am reaching out to corporate and will turn the video in to corporate so that they can see that your behavior and comments are unacceptable. Don't worry about my team coming back to this hotel because your behavior as a manager is unacceptable. Instead of just apologizing you want to lie on my staff. You should be ashamed of yourself. I have footage and further more what does that have to do with someone at the front desk picking up the phone and hanging up over 10 times in my face? My staff was not even there when this happened. How do you justify that????????
Everything was perfect! The staff was friendly and helpful. Great people! The bed and pillows were super comfortable. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed (hair dryer, hangers, iron and ironing board). The shower head had adjustable water pressure. It’s weird to mention but I noticed the elevator was the most gentle lift so I was unsure we were even moving. They have a laundry room. It was a wonderful week staying here. Don’t go to a big chain like Hilton (which is strangling Orlando) and come here instead!
We did a 2-day Disney trip before boarding our 5-day cruise to the Bahamas, so we just needed a place to sleep. This was perfect for that purpose, but I will admit I felt a bit scared in the beginning. There was a guy in a wife beater in the lobby when we checked in and something in the air felt eerie. Also scary is that they have a sign warning against human trafficking, something I had never seen in a hotel before. I felt much better the next day when I went to the lobby to get coffee and they had a much friendlier crew manning the front desk. After that I didn't have time to think about anything, as Disney days run long and when we're back there's time for nothing else but to sleep. It was very convenient to be so close to a McDonald's and other gift shops. I loved that we were across the street from Old Town, which is another must-see landmark in the area. Again, this is not a resort style of place. I highly recommend it as just as place to sleep.
ゲゲストAVOID THIS PLACE! Unsafe, disgusting conditions, and we were scammed for more money. We booked via hopper to arrive and be told that they didn’t have our reservation, but they’d honor the hopper price and I’d have to request a refund via hopper for the additional charge. With it being after 1AM by the time we got this far, we accepted that we just needed a place to stay and we’d figure it out. So we paid AGAIN for the room we’d already booked. Then Initiated the Hopper refund request, went to our room and were horrified by the conditions. There was literal filth on the walls, the smoke detector open with no battery, no lights in the bedroom lamp, yellow pillows, no flat sheet on the bed, a dirty rag on the shower curtain, a terrible smell… I could go on. Given the time of day, how deplorable the room was, and what we had encountered at arrival, we decided the safest and best option for us was to leave this property. We returned in the morning and requested our money back. The manager very graciously and apologetically refunded our money that they had charged us. We were honestly very pleased this interaction, but now they’ve told Hopper that we’ve already been refunded the double charge and are not responding to the further refund request after I’ve explained to hopper that the hotels refund was for the stay itself given the terrible conditions, not for the double charge. Case still pending but I don’t understand why they won’t acknowledge Hopper and accept my refund request for a booking they swore they never even received the money for in the first place. Total scam. Nasty property. Avoid at all costs! Hopper should not be doing business with this property
