Some good, some bad. Though you have a nice room with fridge, microwave, sink, 2-burner cooktop, and cupboards, Woodspring provides no dishes, no pots, no cutlery, no coffee maker, no hairdryer, no iron. All you get is 2 towels, 2 bars of soap, toilet paper, one tiny bottle of shampoo, and the bed sheets, blankets, & 2 pillows. (Oh wait--you also get 2 plastic-wrapped flimsy cups). You have to be prepared to round everything else up for yourself. The best thrift store is St. Vincent De Paul at 1020 S. Washington in Lansing. There are grocery stores & shopping centers nearby for food. On the plus side, it is located in a beautiful area & because the hotel is far from full it is quiet. The most maddening thing is they reboot the internet every morning about 5:45 am so that it shuts off for 10-20 minutes crashing everything you're doing. If you're an early riser, you will definitely be tearing your hair out just before 6am. The price is very good, so I may stay here again. But if they raise the price in the spring, forget it.
Renovation needed but clean. Comfortable beds. Perfectly fine place to stay. However - get a room on the top floor as the ceiling above you will vibrate if anyone weighing 300 lbs+ prances around like an elephant being late to dinner. So so loud - but fat people need a place to stay too I guess
My two-night business trip to Lansing was made even better by my stay at the Courtyard by Marriott. The staff was incredibly accommodating, making the check-in and check-out processes smooth and efficient. The hotel's amenities were perfect for my needs. The room was clean and comfortable, with a particularly impressive shower. As a frequent traveler, a good shower is a must, and this one certainly delivered. The bed was also quite comfortable, providing a restful night's sleep. The location was ideal. The hotel's proximity to the Meijer store made it easy to grab snacks and drinks, while the nearby local bars offered convenient dining and entertainment options. Overall, I highly recommend the Courtyard by Marriott in Lansing for both business and leisure travelers. It's a great place to stay for a comfortable and convenient experience.
