Very difficult check in - they had no record of our booking and had to take my partners phone to check their system. We were asked to hand over passports which we did not have as we are from Ireland and we’re only staying one night - the receptionist was quite rude about this and didn’t understand why I wouldn’t have my passport at all times. You also need 4 keys to get into you room/elevator/front door/use electricity. Parking is a joke - you can park on one side of the fence but god forbid you park on the other side!! The hotel is very old fashioned and in need of a lot of cosmetic work. The elevators are handwritten floor numbers and each floor is actually the wrong floor - you have to go to floor 3 on the elevator to reach floor 4. There is a very distinct smell of spices in the halls, in fact it’s overpowering. Our room had a horrible stain on the wall which was the first thing we noticed when we entered - the room itself is large and has a large bathroom. There is tea and coffee making facilities, a fridge, microwave and and iron/ironing board, there is no sockets near the beds, and minimal sockets in general, none within east access. Also, we must have been near the laundry room as from about 2am all we could hear was loud washing machines which made it very difficult to sleep. The heat in the room was unbearable during the night and even with the windows open we had to sleep Wouk no blanket.
