The White Birch Inn

Last minute stay at White Birch Inn while traveling for business and I was blown away by the accommodations. The staff went out of their way to make sure every detail was taken care of. The room was clean and extremely comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was the cherry on top!

What a charming little Inn! We got excellent service from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. We stayed in the Hemlock Suite which was well appointed. It was very quiet and we had no idea there were other guests until we went down from breakfasts in the morning. The breakfasts were delicious and had plenty of food. Such a charming little spot.

My wife and I found a new happy place at the White Birch Inn in Clayton last week, when traveling to attend our granddaughter's college graduation ceremony. It was out first stay at the Inn, but certainly will not be our last! We had admired the front facade on previous trips, but the lovely front view was just a precursor to the fantastic interior decor. The Inn is appointed and decorated perfectly. It's comfortable with an excellent staff and service, and every need of the traveler has been anticipated and accommodated! Our stay was wonderful. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer. But, we will be back!

My title may be hyperbole but, this spot is awesome. I can't think of a thing I would change from the decor, food, location, and a lovely staff. I even liked the other guests. You can fill your days as I did with shopping and dining at walkable Main St places after hiking at nearby Black Rock Mtn State Park and Tallulah Gorge State Park.

Beautiful cozy little Inn in heart of downtown Clayton. Room was spacious and very well appointed. Lovely bar and various areas you can sit and relax. Cocktail hour is delightful. Excellent breakfast with good choices. I look forward to staying here again.

Beautiful, comfortable inn with an excellent staff that is helpful and friendly. This was our second stay and we are looking forward to returning. The Inn is filled with southern charm. Breakfast is amazing. The wine and cheese in the afternoon was SO much fun. Clayton is an up and coming town.

So charming, so delicious, so accommodating! Everything was a “10” including the other wonderful guests we met at the WBI. And, of course, it’s in Clayton! Wine and a little charcuterie sitting on the patio enjoying the fire was so peaceful and the breakfasts were very tasty and filling. Just what we needed to start the day.

This place is a hidden gem. My wife and I discovered it while passing through on a trip north. Absolutely one of the finest Inns we’ve stayed in. Super clean and very rustic yet elegant ambiance. We stayed in the Mountain Laurel suite which was super quaint and romantic. The breakfast was gourmet and the service was very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend this Inn.

We just returned from a delightful two-night stay at the White Birch Inn. From the moment we stepped inside, our expectations were exceeded at every turn. The decor, ambiance, and comfort of the rooms and the Inn are top-notch. On top of that, every staff member we encountered was so friendly and helpful (special shout out to Dana and Letty, who took exceptional care of us). The owner also took time to introduce herself and chat with us about our stay. There is a complimentary wine and cheese hour, and the included breakfast each morning was delicious. We especially enjoyed sitting on the porch each evening looking out over charming downtown Clayton. It’s an old building, so the floors squeak and there’s a bit of road noise, but these are minor distractions from an otherwise perfect getaway. Highly recommend.
