ランドホテル ギレンフェルダー ホフ(Landhotel Gillenfelder Hof)

The room was clean, but the mini fridge was left unplugged and someone left food in it so it continued to make the room smell horrible. We had to wait a while at the front desk, because the lady was outside and didn’t hear the bell ring multiple times. Didn’t like that the door was a key. So if there’s more than one person staying and someone left and the other stayed, the other was locked in basically. Wish we were able to use the spa but nothing showed how, and waiting at the front desk was a nightmare.

Please note I am only rating their restaurant and didn't experience their hotel. I came here for dinner during my stay as I was looking for new options in the area. First surprise when I arrived, the room was freezing cold. I had to keep my jacket for about 20 minutes as it was not possible to stay otherwise. Luckily, the lady noticed and turned on the heating behind me. There was a grumpy guy sitting in there, not sure what he was doing but just seemed annoyed- then started to ask personal questions...(?!). Anyway, I ordered the wildragout with some spätzles and, the time that I wrote a text, boom! My dish was already there!! I had never experienced that before...I guess everything was just thrown in my plate, then directly in the microwave, meaning my spätzles were clearly warmed up for the second or third time and crispy lol. The ragout was nice but there was only a few pieces of meat for a lot of sauce. The dessert was a homemade parfait with red fruits, consisting in a lot of ice crystals with a red fruit taste. The bill came to around 30€. I am sorry but no, the entire stuff was just unprofessional and money making like. Never again!

Zimmer neu renoviert, aber leider etwas staubig. Lüftungs- und Heizunganlage machte des Nachts sehr laute Geräusche. Wir bekamen daraufhin ein anderes Zimmer, sauber, keine Geräusche, aber leider morgens um halb acht kein warmes Wasser. Trotzallen Unannehmlichkeiten mussten wir den vollen Preis bezahlen. Service sieht anders aus.

Één warm welkom bij aankomst. Mooie en ruime kamers in een klein dorpje waar je s'avonds met je raam volledig open rustig en goed kan slapen. Lekker eten en frisse pintjes. Ideaal voor mensen de van de natuur willen genieten. Ontbijt is meer dan ok. En dit alles aan een goede prijs. Eigenaars gaan in spontaan overleg met de klanten. En klanten spreken elkaar aan. Heel sociaal.

Als erstes das Positive: Das Bett ist bequem und sauber. Die Einrichtung ist freundlich. Leider scheint das Hotel nicht wirklich professionell geleitet zu werden. Beim Bezug unseres Zimmers war es kalt. Die Heizkörper alle auf 0 gedreht. Das Badezimmer war nicht zu 100 Prozent sauber. Der Badezimmerhahn verkalkt, das ganze Zimmer allgemein staubig. Ein vorheriger Kontrollgang (Heizkörper einstellen, kurz durchlüften und abstauben) hätte Wunder bewirkt. Zudem war die Steckdose im Badezimmer kaputt (Abdeckung) und der Toilettenpapier-Halter fehlte. Es standen nur Schrauben aus der Wand raus. Zudem roch es unangenhem nach Kanalisation. Die Steckdosenabdeckung wurde tags darauf vom Housekeeping wohl entdeckt und montiert. Weshalb bei dieser Gelegenheit kein Toilettenpapier-Halter montiert wurde, ist uns ein Rätsel. Es scheint, als würden notwendige Investionen vernachlässigt. Der Boden machte nach dem Housekeeping nicht den Eindruck, als sei er gereinigt worden. Im Zimmer war zudem kein WLAN vorhanden. Insgesamt kein 3-Stern-Superior-Standard und 20-30 Prozent zu teuer für das Gebotene. Für unseren nächsten Besuch in der Region werden wir uns ein anderes Hotel suchen.
