On average it was a pleasant visit. The rooms were clean. The people at the reception were helpful and cheerful. Even though I booked a late check-out the cleaner told us to leave early but after a told that to the reception they offered us a few drinks to make up for and we asked to clean our room but probably they overlooked our room but it was our last day so it wasn't a big problem for us.

I booked this stay for my fiancée, expecting her to have a comfortable and safe experience. While she was impressed with everything during her stay, it took a horrible turn just one hour before she was leaving. At around 10:05-10:10 AM, right before check-out, she was outside the bathroom changing when someone opened the door. The door didn’t open fully but was slightly opened. She heard the noise, panicked, and ran into the bathroom. When she looked out, the person was holding the door open for 5-10 seconds. It was extremely unsettling and made her feel unsafe. The moment they saw her looking, they quickly closed the door, as if caught doing something wrong. As a woman, she felt deeply uncomfortable and unsafe. This was a clear violation of her privacy, especially since it wasn’t even time to check out. When she went downstairs about 15-20 minutes later to check out, she reported the incident to the receptionist. She was asked, “Who was it?” and replied, “I don’t know.” The receptionist suggested it might have been the cleaner, which she agreed was likely since she noticed a cleaning cart near the room. What made this worse was that the receptionist admitted no cleaner should enter a room before 11:00 AM. If that’s the rule, why did someone try entering the room at 10:05 AM? This shows a lack of proper procedures and management. The receptionist noted the time and said she would “look into it.” Instead of showing genuine concern, she casually asked, “Would you like a coffee?” My fiancée found this response completely unprofessional and dismissive. Offering coffee cannot make up for the fear and trauma caused by such an incident. This is the first time my fiancée has faced something like this, and it has left her traumatized. As someone who booked this stay for her, I feel deeply disappointed. I would not recommend any woman stay here alone for her safety. This incident was poorly handled, and it reflects a lack of care for guests’ privacy and security.

The place is very central. Easily accessible. The staff are wonderful and the ambiance is super-friendly. Takes NO CASH. Cards only. Very quiet rooms. Excellent cleanliness. Kitchen provided for customers, but no in room kettle or minibar. No tel in room. If you need to contact reception, go down! A wonderful place for kids. Extra fee for pets

Great stay for a family. Room spotlessly clean when we arrived and plenty of room for our family that was using it as a base for days out and about around Köln and surrounding areas. Felt like a very safe and secure place / area. Communal spaces also brilliant. Buzzing atmosphere with a bit of good music. Well behaved groups and families. Great game collection, small bar and coffee area. Not a party hotel, justa really good casual and fun vibe - which is good for us as a family Kitchen is large and very well equipped BUT can get very busy. Having said this - was great area to meet people from all around the world. It's cleaned and all unlabeled food removed overnight. So always label food clearly with stickers provided. Reception always well staffed. Most staff members were very good. Had one incident when an individual member of staff was not very helpful and quite dismissive when I asked for advice on public transport . But, I will not mark the hotel it's self down for this because I do think it was more an individual issue. Very easy Tram and Train options into the inner city area and beyond (5 min walk). Plenty of options for Supermarkets / Shops /small cafes in the area. If with a family woth children, recommended spending the day in the StadionBad pools on a hot day (1 mile away from Hotel). The Green Spaces and Parks (around 10 min walk away) is also a good option for walks, playing and visiting the free small petting zoo. Zoo also good option. Would highly recommend for groups, families and individuals wanting a safe, clean, fun base for access to Köpn and surrounding areas

Actually, I like the concept of a hotel with a few dorms at hostel prices and a guest kitchen. Very nice bar area to sit and work in, even with self-catering from the very well equipped guest kitchen, the latter of which being the natural meeting point for the hostel style guests in the house. One downside in the dorms is the fact that there are always two non-bunk beds in the room and they tend to be really close together. If you get one of those, you might find yourself sleeping head to head with a stranger. I originally was assigned one of those, but since another bunk in the room was free, the reception was cool with changing my bed. For the rest, the dorms were spotlessly clean, with a very nice ensuite bathroom. Reception staff is friendly and they do what they can but the system seems to be working against them at times, so longer waiting times at check-in were rather the rule when I was there.

We went as a school for an educational trip. The shower had a nice water pressure and our students enjoyed their stay with the nice view of the German skyline. The beds were comfortable and the room is very spacious. Lots of storage available. However, during our stay the room got very hot and sticky even thought we had the air-con on as there were four of us in our room. On our last day we found some hair coming out of the tap in our bathroom. Even though there were some negatives the overall stay was very pleasant.
