1. Start with the positives, TUI free transfer a long time but saves €80 one way which is helpful. Bar has the average drinks for an all inclusive which is good enough for us, the restraunt breakfast is good for a 3* hotel, all the usual stuff. Pool was clean although chilly. The views from the room were great. 2. Cons- Food very repetitive in evening, snack bar always cold, some of the meat look undercooked, Drinks, you have to pay for spirits on their own. Room was absolutely disgusting, stains all on the ceiling and cracks from the roof, drains in the bathroom stunk the whole room out so much, we had to spray aftershave to limit the smell. Some of us became very ill a few days in, violently sick for around 12hours straight. Also maid came 1 time in 4 days. Rooms are big but our room absolutely stunk. Overall a cheap last minute holiday with the lad. Hotel probably wouldn’t suit children that well. Weather decent for January, cheap and cheerful

I’ve been here 3 times now and it is a decent 3 star, I ask for a higher floor away from the pool areas and so far I have been lucky. Our reception experience was good but when we were leaving there was a queue out the door to check in. For what we paid( 1 bed apartment) it was fine for our needs. Clean.ok. There can be queues. Staff work hard. The food can be a better choice some days but we had no sickness. We enjoyed the fresh fish, meats. Drinks can be sweet and so trying lists of them they vary in quality/taste and the snack bar seems to attract birds, insects etc. it puts me off. Weather was hit and miss and so there is not loads to do if weather bad. No lounge to sit in and relax. Sitting on hard plastic chairs or reception or room. When the sun did come out we went on the adults only roof terrace. It’s small but a sun trap and sheltered from the wind. Entertainment team tried their best and the visionaries group were good. The area is hilly. Some stunning coastal walks both ways, playa de arena and los gigantes. Los gigantes is a small town and folks seem to go to highland paddy pub as they have shows on and karaoke every night. It’s like a los gigantes local. We loved the Route 66 pub around the corner from hotel but it’s closed now. Used to have great bands on. Probably for good( there is another one in costa adeji. South) Would I go back? Not sure now. It would have to be a bargain, just not enough nighttime entertainment for us and I did at times feel a bit out the way. We did hire a car from cicar rental.playa del arena Went out to Siam mall and.Siam park brilliant. Playa de las Americas, los christionas. Mount teide. Masca and gorrachio. Hilly though. Honestly it’s a clean basic hotel with limited services. It’s a good base for hiking. Walking but if you after then best if both worlds the area does not offer lots of nightlife.
