tripadvisor The hotel is in a fab location only a short walk to the beach area. Would I stay all inclusive again? Probably not but 100% bed and breakfast. When entering the hotel at midday the room was ready and we had a speedy check in. We were explained the sunlounger reservation process (however some others around the pool was not aware of this and some people may need it explaining clearer especially to those that can’t access the app). The room was clean and kept up throughout our stay the cleaning staff did an amazing job with extra little touches like lining our shoes up (not that we would ever expect this). The pool lounger reservation was a fab idea and avoid them silly early mornings to chase for a lounger. If loungers are not taken by midday you can pick one up easily. The pool area was again well kept and looked after with a good entertainment programme for an adults only through the day. Variety of entertainment during the day would be nice to see. Evening entertainment was always plentiful and to a standard you’d expect with mostly instrument players and singers each evening which we much prefer and suited the audience. The food: breakfast was our favourite meal of the day as there was lots of variety to choose from. Even back bacon served on some days which would have been nice to see more often. Lunch provided an al a carte menu with lots of options to choose from included entrecôte, chicken, pork and lots of sandwiches. However, other than this the food let it down. There was often no in between of overcooked to undercooked in the lunch&evening buffet selection. We had to report to a manager about undercooked chicken skewers which were visibly raw on the outside and when I informed a chef he removed the two that were visibly undercooked and explained the rest were ok. This then continued when my partner who isn’t a fussy eater witnessed blood pouring out a joint of pork and also pink chicken inside to a chicken schnitzel. I do believe this is a massive area for more care given as it could ruin a persons holiday. Maybe invest in a few food probes! Lunch time provided less variety in the buffet and after a certain time it wasn’t replenished (around 45 minutes before the end). We would have liked to have seen more variety. The salad bar was excellent with lots of variety and soups quite enjoyable. The bar offered a range of cocktails and premium brands on the all inclusive menu including Bacardi, Smirnoff and Bombay with bottled mixers of an evening. Some cocktails need working on as I’ve never had a mojito topped with 7up which made it too sweet. We never used the Lyon club as was unsure if this was included with all inc bands and it seemed pretty empty of an evening. Overall we enjoyed the hotel but ate out at lunch&tea quite a lot to make up for the food (which I suppose we experienced more in the local area). Beautiful hotel but the Amount of steps is horrendous. We were told there are a lot of steps but plenty of lifts We were on 7th floor of the main building but everything happens on the lower level in other building. Consequently we had to get 1 of 2 lifts (for most of our holiday the other lift was our of order) to floor 4 then go down a slope walk along up another slope and get another lift to floor 1. Walk past swimming pool to restaurant. All the evening entertainment takes place down here also. NOT EASY FOR MY DISABLED HUSBAND. Food was good if not always hot. This ia nearly always a problem with buffet. We were allowed to use a la carte restaurant twice during our stay. Room keys were the best we have ever had just wrist bracelet which we also used to pay for our drinks etc.

Fabulous hotel, friendly staff, comfy beds, great entertainment, lovely food, cannot fault this hotel. In fact we are cancelling our IKOS holiday and returning in October. The sunbed app was brilliant, get on it early though to get your favourite spot.

4 nights in this beautiful hotel .The staff are so professional and an absolute credit to the hotel . Everywhere clean and as new! Upgraded to Escencia. Reason for us 4 ladies as we loved the One Restaurant where we could go for every breakfast and dinner . This is buffet but also you can order from the a la carte for breakfast ( eg poached egg and pancakes ) and dinner time - buffet or a la carte or a choice of three specials . Food was an excellent choice - vegetarian / fish / meat and the buffet clean and fresh . The tuna steak was to be recommended . The buffet had huge prawns , mussels , lobster , crab as well as salads , cheeses etc Lunch time was in the main menu - again one could order from a menu or have buffet . I had the salmon on two occasions and had two well cooked pieces - delicious ! The drinks on all inclusive were very good - the cocktails and wines nice quality . Mojito, pina colada etc all made at the bar properly no pre mixed . Tia Maria , Cointreau , baileys The staff are amazing - you sit down and a smart waiter comes over and takes your order - at the cocktail bar and the evening entertainment . Day time entertainment - yoga, stretching , aqua aerobics , water polo . All good and enjoyable . Is low key and not disturbing of others Evening entertainment - a musician usually then at 2200 something else eg Dolly Parton / Neil Diamond ( neither my cup of tea - but ok ) then perfect trio band and a 4 piece decades band - both really good . Sunbeds bookable on App . Lots and lots and 4 areas to choose . Lots of sofas and tables and chairs and umbrellas . Never full . Balinese beds in the escencia area are free to book . Other Balinese beds in the other areas are chargeable . They are all clean , well maintained and comfortable . I really recommend this hotel to people wanting a relaxing and pleasant stay in Tenerife

Lovely bedroom hotel is brilliant recommend to adults only food was brilliant rooms where clean sunbed have to be booked on princess apps drinks where a good price and staff where wonderful will stay there again later this year recommend to adults

Best Hotel and customer service I have ever been to fantastic experience. Food was amazing and entertainment was excellent Room was clean and spacious close to all amenities would recommend this hotel above all others. Must say staff couldn't do enough for us.

We have been going Tenerife for 10 years. On a holiday there about 2 years ago, we noticed this hotel being renovated. So after reading many reviews we decided we try it for 1st time. We were very pleased we did. The whole complex was always clean, the staff very friendly, our room well equipped with all we needed. The 2 restaurants were fantastic and the food very good. Depending on the package you have there are many sunbeds and places to chill during day. The night club has live music every night, and the whole place at night is just a wonderful place to be and experience. Once there you don’t need go elsewhere. We highly recommend this hotel. We will be going again this year

Lovely hotel food needs few tweaks to make it 4 stars n the food area I am grateful for people who share as it really helps when researching hotel which is why I am sharing Travelled with TUI for 10 days. Arrived at the hotel with beautiful entrance check in was easy and I have to say a huge thanks to all the reception staff but in particular Victor who is helpful and went out of his way for us. Stunning entrance You get a very thin bracelet with disc attached you don’t know you have got it on which is your room key and all charges to room great feature makes life so easy. Rooms Lovely rooms (8025) perfect view sea and pool. Shower good air con quite cleaners do a lovely job furniture was quality and decorated lovely. Beds are huge and very comfortable Be nice f they provided dressing gowns Complimentary soft drinks couple beers once used you will be charged but I have never had this on half board also and a large free bottle every day. The downside minor but still annoying was the off white towels rough and scratchy apparently this is outsourced and it appears no softener is used guess it’s costs but please think of the guests. No paper hankies.loo rolls the thinnest so narrow ever seen. Coffee in room and restaurant is bitter so take your own, All minor but annoying. Sun beds They have no cushions or padding so they are not comfortable I thought long time before taking plunge ref the app to book sun beds but how easy easy it is every hotel should adapt this you never saw a towel on a bed before 10am. If you don’t book you simply ask the towel man and he will show you available beds YOU WILL ALWAYS get a bed as some are allocated for people who haven’t booked. Take a look at the umbrellas they have numbers so you know what you are choosing. 2 big screens so you can book on here if you don’t download the app or reception will book for you the day before As you walk downstairs to pools if you like the sun get a bed spa side The other side left is gym side and gets shade lot more Further down more stairs the larger pool half beds at front are in shade Pools at gym and spa are absolutely freezing The main pool is allegedly heated and is tepid at best still cold The hotel has about 15 Bali beds it’s rare they are used because they are $20 a day if they charged $10 am sure they would sell more plus some are in shade all day. Unbeknown to us prior to booking there is a VIP section this is i guess better class rooms ! They have lovely thick sun bed cushions shame rest not same. Food Bit disappointed with food but this is subjective The one restaurant you can book once for every 4 days of your stay it’s table service nice atmosphere we both had steak both were tough but that maybe was unlucky the next time we ate we had a beautiful meal. We came here for my wife's 50th. As soon as you walk through the doors you can tell this is a classy hotel . The lady on reception was friendly, helpful and quick but explained everything clearly. The room was clean,spacious and i really liked the decor. The bathroom was a good size and the rain shower was perfect. Now the sink is open and there is a mirrored sliding door seperating the toilet and shower and with the lights on this becomes see through so if you are at the sink you can see someone sitting on the toilet so be warned if you are a shy couple. Now we had the upgraded suite room so it was a bit dissapointing this room overlooked the road as we usually have a sea view room so we missed that but it didn't spoil our holiday . If you have the upgrade ask for a memory foam pillow and if you dont pay for the pillow because the ones they have are to soft, low and lumpy. We headed straight to the cocktail bar just down the stairs from reception, my tip is just go and sit outside cause the waiters will come to you to serve you drinks and they were fast and friendly. There are plenty of chairs and sofas about to chill on and all the sunbeds looked like new,very clean and every 2 beds had a parisol which i have never seen before and again the all looked new. There is a pool up by the cocktail bar on the left and right and a big pool down the stairs and again everywhere was clean and bright. Now we didn't realise on the first night about The One restaurant so we had dinner in the main restaurant but there was plenty of choice ,good service and the food was very nice. Because we had the upgrade we had breakfast and dinner everyday from then on in The One restaurant which is just lovely, it is more peaceful and relaxing the staff are very friendly and work very hard and it is very civilised. You help yourself to a starter from the buffet which again is very varied and fresh,then you order a main from the menu but my tip is always go for the specials because they are just amazing, from the steak,ribs,pork all the specials were just that, special and delicious, and you could have the set pudding or go and help yourself to the desserts on the buffet. Breakfast at The One was also just peaceful with an fantastic selection and you can orderer fresh made off the menu, the French omelettes were lovely. We would like to thank everyone at the The One restaurant for their hard work and delicious food. In the evening we sat by the pool to watch the entertainment and again you just had to sit down and the waiter service wss friendly and fast,we got talking to a hard working and nice guy called Sellam who told us to enjoy because life is short which is so true it was a pleasure meeting him.I liked that they had some live chill music through dinner up to 9.40pm and then at 10pm they had a band on. The guy on guitar who played well but sounded like Vic Reeves club singer from shooting stars and the Dynamic brothers who were not only rude but absolutely dreadful
