ジャン コック ロッジズ(Jan Kok Lodges)

Curacao is a beautiful island but the highlight of our trip was staying in Jan Kok Lodges. We travelled with our adult sons and their families. Each family had their own lodge but we were able to cook, eat and hangout together in the outdoor kitchen. There was lots of space for the kids to play and we felt safe and secure on the property. Other highlights were the shaded lounges, the view overlooking the flamingo salt ponds, gorgeous flowering trees which attract colourful birds and the pool. The beds were comfortable, a/c was available and everything was orderly, clean, quiet and relaxed with a lot of privacy.

The views are amazing and the central locations means most beautiful beaches are within a 15 minutes drive! The airco makes for a comfortable night. Both Frederieke and Jeroen are very friendly and eager you help you feel right at home.

We loved the well cared for piece of paradise at Jan Kok Lodges! Welcomed by Frederieke and shown our sweet ‘outdoor living studio’. Such a lovely place, beautiful nature, refreshing swimming pool, and peace and quiet! Jan Kok Lodges is central and so close to the amazing beaches of Curacao, if you choose to venture out as we did at times, but we also enjoyed laying low there, sunbathing and swimming in the pool! A beautiful home away from home! Thank you Frederieke for your hospitality and cheerfulness that reflects hugely a sunny day in Curacao!

Not only is Curaçao the best island/place to visit! Jan Kok Lodges are by far superb to anything else on the island. We have been to Curaçao several times and have stayed at several places each time! We always regret not staying at Jan Kok for the full time. Granted you don’t have beach access, but the places you will have beach access to from your accommodations are over populated and mostly man made beaches! Jan Kok is centrally located, you can be to the most beautiful natural beaches on the island within 5-30 minute driving, depending on the beach! 20 minutes to downtown! 15 minutes to a wonderful supermarket! 30 minutes to hiking! The property has the most beautiful landscaping you’ll ever see! The pool is relaxing! The wind is magical! They have outdoor kitchens to enjoy nature while cooking! Well stocked outdoor library! Beautiful and comfortable out door living rooms! Beach Towels! Outdoor showers to enjoy! Comfortable beds! Wifi! Bluetooth speakers! Gated area for your cars! What else can I say about this place? Oh yeah, the owners will treat you like family! Super helpful, nice, charming and funny! You will literally think you’re staying at a family members property! My only complaint would be, is I don’t live here! Although, I’ve often dreamed they’ve asked me to come live there and run their property! :) Book your stay here! You won’t regret it!

Even having seen all of the lovely pictures on the website and the Instagram account, I was unprepared for the lush and abundant vegetation that takes over the senses on arrival at Jan Kok lodges. It's just what I was craving in a long grey Canadian winter. Everywhere you go, you're surrounded by green palms and cactus and flowers in every color. I loved spending my days on the veranda and by the pool! Frederiejke and Jeroen have created quite a paradise. We stayed in the Garden bungalow and found that the kitchen had everything we needed to make meals and take lunches with us to the beach (JK lodges provides cooler and ice packs). The bed was very comfortable and the housekeeping did a great job keeping the towels and sheets fresh during our weeklong stay. Frederiejke and Jeroen were just a WhatsApp away whenever we needed anything. We loved being able to keep the windows open all day and were surprised at how cool it stayed. We used the ac at night only for sleeping and it worked well. We never got the hot water to work but we didn't miss it. The location and rental car were perfect for visiting spots all over the island, especially the west side for all of the hikes and beaches. We drove into Willemstad for a culture day and for groceries at the Van den Tweel supermarket. In sum, it was the perfect setting for our first (and certainly not last) trip to Curaçao and allowed us to have a fantastic experience on a very reasonable budget. We can't wait to come back!

We are really thankful that we found „Jan Kok Lodge“ on Curacao, because it is an unique oasis in paradise. Our family of four travelled to Curacao in February 2023. Our kids Valentina & Konstantin (9 and 5 years) loved it so much, because of the wonderful garden full of iguanas. Every day they watched and counted how many of them they see. Additionally we got visits from the tropical birds every day. We stayed at the Iguana 3 apartment which is really close to the pool. Our kids where welcomed and the atmosphere is warmhearted. It is really relaxing to enjoy the silence and the breeze of the wind. Jan Kok Lodge is situated very good when you love to enjoy the beautiful nature of Curacao where not so many people are. That´s the reason why we have chosen this place. The beaches are really close, also the most wonderful beaches in the north of the island. The Lodge has everything you need: beautiful apartments with a big kitchen, a pool, a parking lot and most of all: silence and the feeling of pure freedom. We have just completed a 4-days-stay at the lodge with our two young girls. The lodge is just fantastic and a great place to stay and explore the island with or without children. Frederieke and Jeroen take a lot of pride in keeping their tropical garden, which is just beautiful and full of birds. Besides that the lodge offers a lot of amenities like the fantastic outdoor kitchen with library the small but very relaxing pool area and spacious apartments. Everything in the apartment is extremely well maintained and of good quality. Each apartment has a well stocked kitchen, good ACs, stable internet connection and TV with online streaming. Three great beaches are close by (5-10 minutes by car). And don‘t miss the famous Williburger at Marfas place just down the road.

Waking to birdsong in a beautifully landscape tropical garden managed by a considerate and capable on site couple makes for an effortlessly comfortable lodging. We had a fully equipped kitchen, and a lovely spacious patio. Beaches are nearby and JKL is a great base from which to explore Curacao. We were provided beach towels and a cooler and ice-its to make visits to the beach fully equipped.
