Don't be fooled by the facade. A lack lustre hotel in need of updating. Dark and dingy inside. Rooms are ok. Small restaurant that doubles up as a bar. Attentive staff, but if you want a seat at your own table for breakfast best get there early. Reception area doubles as a lounge.

Although I have visited Dar es Salaam on many occasions this was my first stay at the Colosseum hotel in Oyster Bay which is very well placed for the peninsula. The room was very spacious and very reasonably priced. The staff were so friendly. Everyone of them was warm welcoming and helpful. Great facilities on site including a salon which we made full use of as well as the pool and gym. Very enjoyable stay and I will definitely be staying there again…very soon!

Friendly staff, great service specially the gym manager Dash super nice and very helpful.

Flott hotel

Restaurant Kalypso which belongs to the hotel has so bad or tasteless with probably too old ingredients and spices and too little eating customers because everything is simply bad. I also ordered a Kilimanjaro beer with probably residues of washing-up liquid in it because the taste was terrible, I advertised and they looked at me like I was intellectually disabled. I ordered a glass and it was milkshake already when they served. I tried to order 2 glasses of champagne 5 minutes into 24 on New Year's Eve but was told by a Manager in the bar that they only accept orders for whole bottles, I then ordered 2 glasses of Campari orange juice and was told that the orange juice was out...I gave up. There was a stop in the shower drain so you quickly stood in other people's skin and hair residue so very disgusting actually. The management said they were sorry but they were doing it to repair the damage so It's very hard to call Colosseum el Kalypso a hotel or Restaurant an average hostel delivers better so my tip is choose another... there is no shortage of options //Bernt Hallgren

Great hotel but for the price paid the breakfast buffet needed to be top notch, sadly it was just normal

Très propre. A proximité de tous les commerces et mention spéciale pour le personnel très accueillants et à votre disposition à chaque instant. Literie de qualité et chambre spacieuse. Seul problème le bruit de la climatisation...

Having all facilities in one place. The check in time isn't favorable especially when you only have access to early flights. Improve on making sure everything is available in the room. Its absurd that one has to wait till noon to check-in, then when you get to, you have to follow up to get toiletries and still remind them eveyday to avail what was depleted.

Except from service and air conditioner, everything was little bit outdated. No good bars around!

Little bit outdated. It can be cleaner. Also, not very good breakfast! Air condition was great!
