Excellent hotel with super service. Staff not very friendly

Fantastic hotel for a ski getaway Our trip was marked with outstanding service not only at hotel but at the local ski school. We also had a great time in St Moritz Ecco as well so many things too ok do and learn in a new country. We will definitely come again. It was just a short plane trip from Paris.

This was my second stay at the Seehof and it surpassed my expectations once more. Another great stay and skiing holiday. I wouldn't normally single out individuals as all the staff were great but I would like to commend Carlos (the waiter) who consistently offered exceptional service, displaying professionalism, attentiveness, and a friendly demeanour that greatly enhanced my dining experience. Truly an asset to the Seehof Hotel. Please pass on my best wishes to Carlos.

The hotel is in a superb location for skiing considering the walk to the lift is literally 30 seconds. It is fair to say that the hotel is in the heart of Davos Dorf which is the calm and quiet side of Davos. For the lively part and the good after-ski places you have to take a bus for 10 mins to Davos Platz. The spa of the hotel is nice and the rooms are decent size. The only complaint is probably the service. Staff are friendly but the service is very inefficient and slow. For example, if you order off the menu for breakfast (like an omelette) be prepared to wait an inappropriate time or even not get your order.

This hotel was a huge letdown. They tout themselves as a 5-star establishment, but that's laughable. The food at the dinner restaurant was atrocious and inedible. For instance, they served fish that reeked of fish liver oil, and no one in our group could stomach it. Some of the other dishes seemed to have been made the day before. Moreover, some of the rooms we booked were not cleaned, and when we requested cleaning, they claimed to be short-staffed. The receptionists were generally unwelcoming and unhelpful, except for Marina, who was very pleasant. A few of the waiters at the restaurant were also kind. However, it was hard not to feel sorry for them when the kitchen staff served up such terrible food and the waiters had to deal with complaints from all the guests.

Seehof could have been a nice hotel. However too much is missing. They didn’t clean the rooms we had booked, the food was terrible and sometimes uneatable, scramble eggs are made from powder, the receptionists ( with one exception- Marina) were unwelcoming and showed no interest in the guests. I would strongly advise against having dinner at the hotel. The food and how it was prepared does not belong at all in a 5 star hotel.

Incredible location for skiing. We got an old room which isn’t as nice. Quality of the bedding is below par. Great breakfast. Lovely bar. Medicare dinner.

We just spent the weekend at Seehof in an Executive Room. Setting: Booked 2 days before. We were looking to open the ski season at Davos and picked Seehof for it's proximity to the Parsenn Skilift and a decent deal pricewise on ***********. The good: Staff at reception, bar spa and restaurant Chesa were exceptionally friendly and helpful and had a genuine service attitude you seldom experience in this country. It appears that management allows their people to develop their individual twist to good service and how to connect with the guests, that makes for a fantastic atmosphere with great individuals, nor just “service drones”. We loved it. As the weather deteriorated, we decided for a Saturday evening at the spa and returned Sunday morning for the gym and massages. Both the facilities, the staff and the treatments were exceptional. Our room was very beautiful. A good mix of modern and traditional. The bad: The rooms on the second floor have a low ceiling, which makes using the shower a bit challenging if you are over 1.7m The ugly: Maybe because of the season start, the breakfast buffet was a bit limited. The service was inconistant and the only lonely waiter was prety uninterested to engage. Overall a great stay with a few things to tweak. We loved it will be back for another weekend in December!
