ビレッジ テマノハ(Eco Lodge Village Temanoha)

What a wonderful place to stay! Amazing location in the caldera surrounded by towering hills and beautiful countryside yet an easy walk down to the sea. A small number of lodges providing very comfortable accommodations along with swimming pool and shared patio/dining area but with own decking and kitchen if you wish to be alone. Best of all are the hosts, Megan and Julien (apologies if spelling incorrect). Such a wonderful young couple. Very attentive, so easy to talk to, extremely helpful in every way I. Losing advice on where to go, what to do, local trails etc. I had such a wonderful time with them I stayed 6 nights rather than initial 2 I booked in for. Amazing hosts. Beautiful place away from it all! I cannot recommend highly enough.

Village Temanoha has a fantastic Moorea location, short distance from great restaurants, grocery store, hiking and biking. We were on a long hike and ran out of water with 8 miles left (hot and 100% humidity) - Julien and Morgan took us in with no hesitations! They were so nice and offered a ton of island advice during our short stop. Thank you for your hospitality - we can't wait to come back!

This is a rustic bungalow accommodation located in an incredible jungle valley. Julien is a gracious host, happy to share his knowledge of the local area - trails, beaches, excursions, etc. Recommended for those looking for an authentic and nature focused adventure. Vehicle recommended as the property is set back from the main road a couple of kilometers. Dirt road is rough in places (like many on the island), just go slow and you should be fine with any passenger car.

I don’t know where to really star with place all I can tell you is that you will leave the closest experience from the tahitien life! It was beyond any expectations I may had expected! The sympathy and generosity of Morgan, Julien and Nico was just undreamed off! I will definitely go back to this place, a little peace of heaven, The bungalows where nice in the real Tahitian tradition and quite spacious with beautiful private terrace, The team where always there to advise and assist us along our stay! Well done to this family group of young entrepreneurs who’ve successfully understood the meaning of simplicity and generosity! Reynald.

We had to leave this accommodation after 1 night, firstly the road to access this hotel is unpaved with lots of potholes and not ideal for a small rental car, we scratched the underneath of car 3 times getting there even driving very slowly. You are better off having a 4x4 if you want to stay in this place. Then you arrive and the cabins have openings in the ceiling ( for airflow) to the outside so inevitably all the mosquitos can enter into your cabin, it was an absolute invasion of mosquitos. We were demolished by mosquitoes. Our cabin was covered by trees so we had no view of the mountains or coastline. Which is not what you expect when going to Moorea. The bed mattress was so weak, you could feel the wooden planks underneath. The Wi-Fi connection was snail speed, couldn’t do a videoconference. Then came the nighttime where we woke up 5 times with cockroaches crawling on us which made it absolute unbearable. You can’t sleep at ease knowing cockroaches are in your bed. The sheer amount of mosquitoes in this place is really something to consider, especially since the interior of the cabin is open to the outside. Although the bed has a mosquito net, if you want to enjoy the rest of the cabin, expect to share the space with many mosquitoes. If you are looking for a romantic getaway, I wouldn’t recommend this place, although the hosts were very nice and hospitable, it was a real disappointment for us. We switched accommodations for a place near the beach and it was much better.

Il villaggio avrebbe un potenziale pazzesco, immerso tra le montagne e la foresta, il paesaggio è stupendo e la natura esplosiva. Il giardino sarebbe un gioiello se non fosse molto trascurato, come un po’ tutto in generale, ho trovato molto disordine. La piscina è carina, ma poco curata, gli sdrai assolutamente da cambiare. I bungalows sono completamente da ristrutturare, pulizia mediocre, lenzuola pulite ma molto usurate. Abbiamo dovuto togliere la zanzariera posizionata sopra al letto perché era completamente impolverata. Nessuna fornitura di prodotti basilari per bagno e cucina. Bagno bello ma finestra sporca, wc che si intasa facilmente. Cucina poco funzionale. Wifi funzionante solo sotto l’albero adiacente alla piscina. La strada per arrivare è sterrata, ma non è un problema, la prima volta sembra difficoltosa, ma poi diventa quasi divertente! I ragazzi proprietari sono molto gentili e disponibili, ci hanno dato ottime dritte per hiking e snorkeling. Il mio consiglio è di dedicare tempo ed energie a questo posto che merita di essere tenuto come un diamante. Tanta manutenzione, pulizie a fondo, cura dei dettagli ed il gioco è fatto! A quel punto meriterà cinque stelle e oltre!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour au village Temanoha. Situé en plein cœur de la vallée de Paopao, l’établissement offre un cadre magnifique. Un véritable havre de paix ! Nous y avons dormi comme des bébés. Le petit déjeuner était un régal !Julien, Meghan et Nicolas étaient vraiment disponibles et à l’écoute, ils nous ont donné de nombreux conseils et ont embelli notre séjour. Oui il y a des moustiques, mais c’est normal !Concernant la route, c’est amplement faisable ! Pour ceux qui n’auraient pas loués de véhicule, je vous recommande de faire une petite marche jusqu’au Super U Are et d’admirer le paysage. Nous l’avons fait avec un bébé de 7 mois et on a vraiment apprécié cette marche quotidienne. Si vous bookez vos activités, la prise en charge est souvent incluse et le point de RDV sera le Super U Are. Vous pouvez aussi prendre un taxi à partir de là. Le village Temanoha a été un véritable coup de cœur pour nous ! Je le recommande à tous ceux qui passent par Moorea. Mauruuru Julien, Meghan et Nicolas !

Nous avons passé un excellent moment au village Temanoha depuis notre arrivée où nous avons été très chaleureusement accueillis par Nicolas jusqu’au petit déjeuner très garni confectionné par Julien. De très bons conseils d’excursions avec en prime une jolie balade avec les tortues vertes aussi inattendue qu’enthousiasmante. Et pour finir une très bonne adresse pour déjeuner. Bref même si nous ne sommes restés qu’une nuit nous aurions bien prolongé pour découvrir encore d’autres pépites de Moorea. Une adresse à garder en mémoire et à partager!
