ガズデン・ホテル(The Gadsden Hotel)

Checked in late and Francisco could not have been more accommodating including walking me up to my room and getting to chat for a couple minutes about the history of the hotel. The actual hotel is beautiful. Rooms are spacious. It’s a great value for a historical site. Staff makes it great.

We have been staying at the Gadsden for going on 40 years, and must say this is the best we have ever seen the hotel look. There has been some much needed repairs done, and it is very clean and lovely. The room we stayed in was very nicely redone with lovely paint and furniture. The bed was comfortable and bedding very nice. We missed the restaurant, as it was closed. Although, food was available in the tavern. Service staff were very attentive. The bar staff was excellent! Please keep up the good work and we hope you will be able to reopen the restaurant soon. We will be back!

We went to Douglas Arizona to watch our son play baseball against Cochise College. We were unfamiliar with the area. Reviewing the available hotels in the area we chose this one for its uniqueness and charm. I am so happy that we took the chance! Our first interaction was a phone call from the property to let us know about their security measures with locking the front door at 9:30pm, and wanted to make sure we’d be in before that. We arrived shortly after that call and were greeted by a young woman behind the counter who was friendly and greeted us as if she’d known us her whole life. The Manager walked in, smiled and welcomed us as well. The lobby is absolutely stunning, gorgeous tile floors, and beautiful stained glass windows were just a few highlights. We got our key and went up to our room. We were welcomed by two fake fireplaces warming up the large space. The furniture was darling and matched the motif of the hotel. After a 15 hour drive I was ready for a shower, the cute tiled bathroom was small, but perfect in every way, especially happy to see the large shower head. Allthough we didn’t use the LARGE Jacuzzi tub, that was separate from the main bath, it was clean and looked inviting. We couldn’t be more happy with our choice, and would love to return. Everyone treated us like family! We ate in the restaurant downstairs, and had a few drinks. Everything was perfection!!

They have done a great job of using/reconditioning the original materials throughout the facility. They have also incorporated a lot of documentation of the history of this fine Hotel. It was disappointing that the onsite restaurant was temporarily closed during our stay.

The Gadsden is a cool hotel built before the Model T Ford was made. The opulent lobby is worth the trip alone.. The plumbing works, but this place was built when plumbing was a rarity, and the baths are smaller than what one might expect. I liked it a lot.

Nice historic property staffed by such attentive and caring folks. Room was large and quiet. Enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

What a beautiful hotel with an amazing history. The staff is kind and helpful. It is such a special property. If you have a chance to stay here, do it!

This is the most beautiful historic hotel! The marble columns and staircase are breathtaking! Ken was very gracious with a tour of the secret Basement which has an incredible Speakeasy. Ask for the Tour...the history is amazing.

Nice old hotel, but needs some TLC. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed during our stay, and the hotel had just laid off 70 percent of their staff. I hope they can make things work for this unique property.
