ホテル ジュリアン ドゥビューク(Hotel Julien Dubuque)

Juien is our go to destination. We love the location. It is close to locations we frequent when in the area. We've never eaten there.

I have been going to Dubuque since I was a kid. We have made the Julien our little get away. We have been there many times and will be there many more.

Pros: The hotel is beautiful and in an amazing, easy to access location in downtown Dubuque with lots of history tied to it (including mobsters like Al Capone). It has a nice spa that has lots of beverage options and couples' massage service. We received vouchers for a free dessert with meal at the in-hotel restaurant and a buy one get one free drink at their hotel bar. Unfortunately, we didn't get the opportunity to use either of those services. Bed was comfortable. Cons: There is nearly no sound deadening. You can walk through the halls and easily hear everyone's conversations, let alone the very loud music from the nearby bar until 2 am. Front desk service at check-in was mediocre. The spa had to move my morning appointment to afternoon.

Great hotel. Only complaint was sheets were short sheeted and it was impossible to pull them out of end of the bed.

Hotel is beautiful and clean. Right in the middle of many restaurants so you can walk. Great staff. Unfortunately the hotel restaurant was understaffed and couldn’t get in a family of 5 for dinner. The walls are paper thin in the rooms and you can hear your neighbors conversations (who weren’t trying to be loud) but sounded like they were in our room till 1am. Ran out of towels in the pool area and our room coffee mugs had lipstick on them even though marked as clean. A little more attention to some things would make for a much better stay. Not sure if we would stay again and we wanted to love it.

Beautiful historic hotel. One of the nicect pool/hot tub rooms we have seen. Carolynes Restaurant was spendy but good.

There was ice everywhere outside the hotel. The room was freezing even after turning up the thermostat. The poor and hot tub very dirty. The tv stand was broken. The atmosphere was neat! Dave the maintenance man was amazing!! The staff were all awesome!

We love the location and old world glamour of hotel julien. This time we made use of the pool and hot tub and ate at Caroline's twice!

We liked the unique charm the hotel has. Check in was a breeze. The room was nice and clean as well.
