When we walked in we were welcomed and upgraded to a better room with more space and I felt welcomed the only downside is the parking tickets which you only pay 7 dollars for all the times you leave the hotel. It is a very nice place there is this guy who’s name is katon he is very humble at the front desk and very fun to talk too 10/10 experience
This was our second stay here and I've been pleased both times. The rate was very reasonable especially for the location. Room was comfortable and spacious and it had a very nice real porcelain bathtub. Pillows were a little flat but at least there were 5 of them for a king bed and honestly, I think most hotels have lousy pillows these days so it wasn't too bad. Checkin was quick and registration was able to accomodate my request to be away from the pool and common areas. Breakfast was about average, but more importantly (to me!) was the locally sourced lobby coffee that was actually brewed like coffee and not dishwater. Decor is warm and welcoming with a nice gas fire in the lobby. Duluth hotels are always expensive in summer, but this property is going to be an off-season go-to for me from now on.
This hotel is great for families. The hot breakfast is a great way to start the day. We had a lovely view of the lake and ships coming in. My kids loved the pool. The staff were very kind and accommodating. The rooms are clean, modern and well kept. We have stayed here twice and plan to come back next year
My family and I stayed at the property on Monday August 26th, 2024 for 1 night. Good location. Tiny pool that is over chlorinated, Couldn't stay in the pool or pool area. The room was a good size. No restocking of toilet paper or tissue paper. Both rolls of toilet paper were at the end and the tissue paper had 3 pieces left in it. So that tells me that the room probably wasn't cleaned and sanitized properly either. CLEANLINESS IS THE UTMOST IMPORTANT ASPECT and They FAILED !!!! The Air Conditioning unit blew mild cool air. I didn't say anything as we were there for only 1 night. But this certainly was not a pleasant night. Breakfast was good tasting and a nice variety. The staff that I spoke to was excellent with the exception of the person working overnight. Overall all 3 of us felt extremely disappointed in the quality of the stay. Highly unlikely we would stay again. To make matters even worse after we returned home I spoke with the assistant manager who asked us to give them another chance to show us their service has improved. However my family would need to pay. I told him we paid once for bad service, I'm not paying a second time for potentially bad service again. He said ok. Really didn't seem to care. We will never go back to that property again. Bad service and terrible management.
Mmdfloyd322We had a nice stay at the Super 8 in Duluth. The bed was very comfortable and the front desk staff was very helpful and accommodating. The reason for the 4 instead of 5 stars is that the hotel didn't seem to be very close (walking distance) to dining or entertainment, other than a ballpark. However, it's a short drive to the downtown entertainment area and quite easy to get to the interstate on/off. Recommend.
I slept very well. I appreciated the mattress and the fluffy pillows. Room 107 is a big room without carpet on the floor. A “no-frills” motel. Ample amount of parking spaces. Very helpful employee checked me in, and another employees happily greeted me when I left the next morning. The chalking around the bathtub needs to be replaced or bleached. I noticed the chalking because I took a hot bath, but someone taking a shower would not notice this. Upon entering the motel, the entryway had overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke, but my room certainly did not. Coffee was available in the lobby. I couldn’t find the Bible in my room. I’d stay here again if I was in the area.
