ザ プロー イン(The Plough Inn)

Our stay was excellent from the welcoming staff to the last moment we left. The food is exceptional, and good value (slightly costly, but worth it). We highly recommend this for its location and quality. The staff were polite and attentive.

Sheppards hut was perfect and immaculate when we arrived. Fabulous location and food in The Plough was 5*

Only problem we booked a delux room with garden view and when we got there we were in a Shepherds hut. ******* didnt tell us this. However the Shepherds hut was beautiful but not everyone would be able to use the Shepherds hut due to mobility problems. So just be ware when you book and maybe check with the property direct which room is booked For you. Staff are so helpful and friendly and food is wonderful. Will visit again.

Staff were incredible, bed was comfy. Only issue was the shower did not get hot. You would have the odd 30sec blast and then would go luke warm again. Which after a day out and about outside was not ideal so I was left cold and had to layer up in clothes and in the bed until the heating kicked in from turning on the radiators.

Ideal location, friendly and helpful staff. Cabin well provisioned and spotless.

Room was clean and tidy, bed comfortable. The food was very good. I suggest you try the scallops with black pudding - excellent. Location is good. Short walk to Hathersage where plenty of amenities. This is the second time we have stayed at the Plough Inn.

Stayed with friends while hiking. Lovely place. Excellent accommodation. Great food. Breakfast is superb. Well done. Hope to return soon.

Great room and pub and surrounding areas for walking.Lovely little centre with a buzz around .Evening meal roast beef one of the best roasts we had ever had and breakfast excellent too will definitely revisit this place again .

The plough inn was a hidden gem, we loved it! The staff were wonderful especially the lady on breakfast, breakfast was lovely and service with a smile! Close to Hathersage centre with some lovely pubs, we would definitely return, close drive to Castleton too for Mam tor.
