I have stayed at several Autograph Collections in different States but this has become my new favorite. The staff, namely Carlos at reception, were so friendly when I arrived. Carlos answered all my questions about the hotel and El Paso in general. I'll be using the shuttle to the airport on my next trip; the breakfast buffet is not to be missed; and if you want excellent service, see out Carlos.
My business partner arrived the day prior to my visit and had to be “walked” to a neighboring hotel because Aloft oversold. Although it was a nicer hotel than Aloft, sometimes sticking to the planned agenda is better. I checked in the following day and was upgraded to Presidential Suite. A very nice room with great views. The shower had poor pressure and almost stopped flowing on more than one occasion in my 5min journey. There is mold and mildew in the caulking in the shower and around the windows… this room needs a deep clean. Additionally in the shower, the tile on the floor is extremely slippery and an anti-slip pad should be provided before someone gets injured and the hotel sued. Lastly, I was charged for parking when I did not have a vehicle… I was not asked at checkin, which is an annoyance when leaving as I must stop and wait in line to rectify my bill before leaving g for my business meeting… putting me at risk of being tardy. I hope this review serves Aloft El Paso downtown to strive for better experiences for its patrons.
I was highly impressed at the great job the hotel didn’t a remodeling. Every area of the room, including the rooms are very nice and modern. A dinner at the bar and the staff was extremely friendly. Want to give a shout out to Mariana, the bartender. If staying near the airport this is the hotel to stay at
MMiguel MFirst of all, I rented a suite room, and it was on the 3rd floor. First of all, in the El Paso heat were told the elevator was broken. My wife and I went up three flights of stairs just to experience a dirty room with stains everywhere such as the carpet and sofas. It was just disgusting. After all, I just gotten knee surgery few weeks ago and the staff did not really care of where to place us. My wife and I went back down to the front desk asked if there any other rooms with king size bed, they told me no, not until we complained then all of the sudden, we were given another room on the first floor. This room was worse off and so dirty. I asked she can call the other Quinta across the street to see if they have any suite, or king size bed available she said no once again. We were not able to check out due to family emergencies and needed to stay the week. The toilet was not working. The janitorial service did not fix it for 2 days! Then, everything was broken down to the fridge! The ceiling was warped due to water damage as well as the walls not being painted due to mold. I don't know what happen in that room before us, but they should have fixed and cleaned the room before they give it to a guest. On the second day, I asked for fresh towels, and they told me I have to go to the front desk to get them. We waited 2 days for towels. Our room was never cleaned and bed was never made. The next day we are out and about again and came back to the room and same thing. I called the front desk to see what is going on with cleaning the room they told me I had to schedule a cleaning. This is the half of what happen to us on this trip. I told my wife that we will NOT stay at a Wyndham Hotel ever again. The customer service was really bad and that was including the manager Michelle and GM Krystal. VERY POOR SERVICE. If there was a Negative on here, I would give a -3. PS WE DO HAVE PICTURES BUT I WILL NOT POST THEM.
EEstelle MAwesome customer service all around. The manager and staff very understanding of our situation and went above and beyond to make our stay very comfortable, enjoyable and most of all affordable. House keeping doesn't bother at all. They would bring us what we needed clean towels, toilet paper, new and clean bedding with no problems
Ddolittle215I did not expect 5* accommodation but would struggle to give 1*. There was a broken light in the bedroom so the room was very dark, I can live with that. Stain on the sheet is not acceptable, luckily I had 2 beds to choose from . Considering the room technically slept 4 they only supplied 2 hand towels. The water rain at one temperature - warm not hot or cold. When you turned the tap on in the sink water sprayed from the side and there was a leak round the toiler. The lift kept shutting down and needed reset, great if in reception when you notice but not when you are 2 floors up trying to get your luggage downstairs or when you are in the lift alone when it happens. The room was not isolated with the issues as a friend also staying at the hotel had problems but different ones from me.
