ホテル ル ラヨン ヴェール(Hotel le Rayon Vert)

Upon arrival at the hotel we were told that ******* was trying to reach us however we did not receive an email or voicemail. The hotel said they were calling because the large room with a balcony that we reserved had an issue with the plumbing and they could not put us in this room and needed to downgrade us to a smaller room without a balcony. We had no choice in the matter. I found it strange that ******* was trying to call us when it was an hotel issue. The hotel said they would give us a free breakfast for the inconvenience but that I had to call ******* to get a credit on the downsizing. When back in the states, I emailed ******* asking for a credit for the difference in the rooms, which is what I was instructed to do by the hotel, but ******* explained they cannot do this, rather their process is to contact the hotel and see if the hotel would be willing to give us a credit. After some back-and-forth and waiting a couple days, the outcome per ******* was that the hotel denied any credit to us. So basically the hotel lied to us and blew us off by telling us to deal with the fact that we paid for an expensive room but didn’t get it after we had already left the country. Pretty low of them to do.

Wonderful room. Outstanding view. Lovely staff. Delicious breakfast. We’ll definitely be back and want the exact same room with a sea view!

Beautiful view of the water

Stayed for one night. Good location, pleasant welcome. Hotel not busy but wouldn't allow us to access room until 4pm (we arrived at 2pm) which seemed a little petty. Room ok but decor tired. Just small annoyances, no milk for morning tea, not enough hot water to fill bath (bathed in 3 inches!). Room not very cosy but nice view of sea. No parking for hotel so need to use public car park down the road, not a major issue but can only pay for 5 hrs max ((free overnight til 9) so have to return to feed meter. Hotel restaurant food was lovely.

Nice little and simple hotel, located directly at the sea, with small but clean and functional rooms. Ideally you book a room on the third floor with a view to the sea. Its an old house with narrow, steep stairs, you have to be a bit athletic. The house has a great atmosphere, but is not a hotel with 24-hour reception or room service, more like a bed & breakfast. The owners only speak French, but they are very friendly and you can make yourself understood. Check in is unfortunately only possible from 4pm and there is no parking at the hotel. You stay here for the fantastic location and atmosphere. The view from the hotel is breathtaking. The hotel also has a small guest appearance in the Netflix series Lupin.

I had the pleasure of visiting this hotel last week for a one night stay. The location is perfect, just on the beach and was very easy to find. The building is old and has a lot of charm while still ensuring rooms are up to standard. The staff are very nice and knowledgeable of the region and can give lots of tips on where to go in this fantastic region. In the hotel is also a restaurant that service very nice food to reasonable price. The service was very good and the staff really tried to make the stay a pleasurable and memorable one. I needed to be up relatively early and the staff did their utmost to ensure I got a proper breakfast even if it was earlier than normal breakfast time. I highly appreciated that. Next time I'll visit Etretat, I'll definitely come back to this hotel

The staff at this hotel are amazing. I had an incident during my visit to Etretat and the desk team went above and beyond to help me through it. I want to thank them for all of their help and kindness. Everyone was so kind and helpful. The property is perfectly located on the ocean front. We ate at the restaurant several times and the food was fantastic. I highly recommend this hotel while visiting the area.

Yes it is a very Nice location by the beach but so many but. But; crazy narrow staircases, if you have luggade, stay away But; Theorin resto was not Nice at all. We sent to have a pastis, and Wagners to order Dinner, 30 min kateter just paid and left for another Resto as we got no Attention at all to order anything more But; the rooms were small and the bed was really really small and hard. I am 1,64m and my husband 1,90m. Bed so small even my feets were out over the Edge But; This is the top of the iceberg. Sexist photograhps hanging all over the restaurant. Woman benig degrading, in chains, crying, being in sexy cloths exposed by a cruel dominant male ***!!
