La Reginella Resort & Spa

We always travel to Ischia at the end of May, this being our only holiday of the year. We have chosen this hotel as it was recommended and we liked the idea of the thermal garden in the hotel. We were very pleasantly surprised. We arrived at the main port on the island and were greeted by the hotel driver, who was punctual and professional. We arrived a bit earlier but our room was ready, which was great. Once there we had a tour of the facilities and everything was very clearly explained, with no 'hidden' costs. The Thermal Garden plus the inside pools and SPA facilities are stunning and a pleasure to use. The thermal treatments lady, Anna and the beautician (also called Anna!) were extremely professional and caring. The treatments very effective, all clearly explained and booked in advanced by the SPA manager, Elizabeth, also professional and very accommodating of my needs and requests. We ate in the hotel both at lunchtime in the bar within the thermal garden and for dinner. The food is delicious and plentiful, again with no hidden costs. The bar prices are very reasonable and in line with local bars. Staff there is very friendly and professional, making everything even more enjoyable. Breakfast was fantastic with a great buffet with quality items, dinner has been special every time with local dishes and a great choice of starters. Everything was exquisite and the staff were excellent, noticing preferences and great at advising the best dishes to try, again with no hidden costs. There is also piano bar in the evening, with two great musicians who sing and entertain with great songs, in Italian, and other languages. Beautiful! Overall an excellent experience, we will definitively go back!

The area is lovely and the close to restaurants and shopping -- very walkable and safe here! The hotel has friendly service and do all to make my stay comfortable -- would definitely come back again!

You will struggle to find better service anywhere. This hotel seems to exist inside a time warp as the service is something that I dont see anywhere else. like something out of the 1970s perhaps. The ladies even turn down your bed sheets while you are at dinner!! The hotel is spotless, our room (258) was great and the food and drink are also EXCELLENT. And the Thermal park behind the hotel and reserved for the hotel guests is also amazing with perhaps 5 outdoor pools at varying temperatures as well as a lovely indoor pool and a sauna, with a snack bar in the grounds too. WELL worth a stay!!

We stayed for 5 nights and enjoyed ourselves. The daily breakfast is nice, the restaurant for lunch was delightful (by the pool) and the restaurant for dinner was wonderful (out front of the hotel). The hours of the lunch place are limited. The staff could be more helpful - our friends were staying at the Mezzatorre and we spent a fair amount of time up there with them; the service up there is impeccable so made our hotel seem like service could be improved even a little. The demographic at the hotel is a little older or families. The pools are nice. The service of the rooms is great (replacement of towels, turn down service, etc). The location is great for walking to shops, a beach club or two, other restaurants.

I have just returned after 6 wonderful days at the Reginella, the facilities are excellent and maintain an old-world charm, and are wonderfully maintained and looked after, the rooms are comfortable (although the neighbours can be loud on occasions as soundproofing isn't wonderful, initially I also had quite small room and the bathroom was definitely lacking in storage etc. however after speaking to staff at reception I was moved to another room and was very much more at home there), the thermal gardens and pools are well kept and ongoing cleaning and maintenance is visible everywhere. The restaurant and kitchen produce wonderful, local food and the staff throughout the hotel really do what they can to make guests feel very special. Particularly I would draw tension to the restaurant staff working under Sig. Gianni, including his assistant Sig. Mattera and all the waiting staff; the housekeeping staff looked after by the wonderful governante and also show the staff who look after the pools including Sig.na Anna and her colleagues. Throughout the hotel however, staff really do what they can to make you feel welcome and comfortable and anything you ask them or request to do seem to do whatever they can to oblige you. I'm really glad I was able to spend as long in the hotel as I did this time and I'm already working out when I will be able to return.

La Reginella is a nice hotel, centrally located by the town square. Its biggest asset is the luscious garden with thermal baths in various temperatures. Truly a nice place for relaxation. Our stay included full pension with ok food and lots of it. The level of cleaning is great, and the attentive staff also deserves praise. My primary reason for only giving my stay 3 stars was the quality of sleep. The bed itself is okay, a little hard but nothing to complain about. The pillows, however, are awful. Big and hard as stone. Morning headaches guaranteed 😞 And they were apparently not possible to change on request. So, should I choose to come back to stay, I would bring my own pillow, no doubt. And probably my own bathrobe as well, as the one provided, even marked XL, was hardly able to tie around me…

I spent two nights at la Reginella and really wish I could have stayed longer. In terms of quality of stay and value for money it really was excellent. My single room had a queen size bed (which I love in a single room) and although it didn't have any external space the room was more than adequate, well-furnished and well maintained. The staff in the hotel were professional and courteous and overall the amenities were excellent. The pools and thermal gardens are out of this world and I could have lived in them forever. The food in the hotel was also first rate, the dinner menu was excellent and varied, however my one ****** on that both in terms of the buffet at dinner and at breakfast was that things were not replaced when they ran out. In a hotel of the standard if you go for breakfast at 9:00 AM when breakfast is advertised to run until 10:30 you expect there to at least be a cornetto or other pastries instead, and perhaps this was linked to then closing in the next few days , we were told there were no more and there were no more coming and this was disappointing given the type of hotel but this is, the same also happened at dinner. It would be nice if the room had come with slippers and a dressing gown however I understand that these can be rented or bought so it wouldn't put me off returning and all in all I'm already planning my next trip to this hotel and hope to do so very soon.

We have just returned from a 5 night stay at this lovely hotel and had a wonderful time. The room was well equipped and very clean - and the bed might be the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in! All the staff were friendly and helpful; the restaurant service was effortlessly slick and the menu choices each night were varied and delicious! Set in a beautiful area of Ischia and handy for shops and beaches, and just a short walk away from the bus route which serves the island. All in all a very relaxing stay 😎
