My family and I recently stayed at this property after our flight was canceled due to Tropical Storm Debbie. I needed to find a place rather quickly and came across this Courtyard in the Bonvoy app. Upon arrival, we were granted early check-in, which was a huge plus as we had been up early, hoping to get out of Southwest Florida before further flooding occurred. Our room was modestly appointed with two queen beds and clean linens. The room was damp despite the AC trying to keep up with the constant humidity. My wife and kids could use the clean hotel pool, which kept them well entertained while I attended to some work calls in the room. The staff is overall friendly and very accommodating. For convenience, a restaurant adjacent to the property can be walked to, and the food was pretty tasty. Well our stay was mostly out of necessity, I would think about re-booking again if passing through the Fort Myers area.
As a Hilton Honors member I was extremely disappointed in this new hotel. I've stayed in many new(er) Hilton properties so was expecting the hotel to be 100% complete, but it's not quite there. The new beds are nice but our shower was plumbed backwards (hot was cold and cold was hot), not to mention the shower diffuser was not working so there was always water coming out of the shower head. I've read some other reviews (after the stay) and see some of the same patterns that I assumed would have been taken care of, such as lack of attention to the breakfast area. Each morning they were either out of coffee or out of cups and no attendant present. Front desk staff seemed uninterested in helping and didn't even bother emptying the overflowing trash next to the coffee table. Multiple attempts to receive fresh towels went unanswered and had to go to the front desk and physically retrieve them. David was the only staff member who seemed to enjoy his job and was helpful. Oh, and there were only 3 plastic folding chairs in the pool area (which seemed like an afterthought during construction). Overall, this location is not executing the little things and seems to have opened at 90% completed. They obviously did not bring in an ”A” team to open the hotel.
Denia, Estrella and Rafeal make the best dinners for the Manager reception. They put so much love and attention into everything they do. We have a BLAST on Bingo night!!!!!!!! We love this team!!!!! Woop woop!! They really make you feel like you are at home!
Love the at home feel I cooked everyday the dishwasher, bowls, plates, pans and free washing was a plus since we didn't have breakfast. We just cooked our own ! By the way the coffee down stairs is great too. The guy that worked nights was very helpful too.
Helena Guest, the Hansens. The hotel was spotless before the storm, during the storm and after the storm. Certain staff went above and beyond. At check-in Joey was professional during immense outside pressure conditions. Housekeeping let me have my peace without pressure. One important team member with Housekeeping, Maria, took care of what I asked for under 2 seconds. Throughout our stay (we will need accomadations longer due to damage) as I looked around Maria was at different locaions cleaning away. Thank the Lord for you and yours... Jennifer Pomphrey.
This was my first time here and I was happy with my stay. I paid for the room option that had breakfast and they had a number of hot breakfast options, as well as old fashioned oatmeal, cereal, fruit and more. They service the rooms every other day and the bed was great. The room was very nice and they were friendly and helpful at the desk.
Love everything about this Resort but have to single out the staff. From check-in with Diane, to vehicle/luggage assistance from James, James, Dave and NELSON (!), to Sam and the best filet/service ever at Courtside Restaurant and to Chris for the great poolside conversation and delicious food choices. I know I’ve left out a few but everyone at the front desk was helpful and friendly. The resort is recovering from Ian and the staff did everything possible to provide a great stay.
Ggsams12Booked last minute for an early flight. The location was a little difficult to navigate at night..but worth the effort. I found the pool to be warm and comfortable...although the elevator could certainly use an update.. everything else was clean and well maintained. The work out room near the pool looked clean and well equipped..although I didn't use it. Breakfast looked like the typical hot bar found in most decent hotels. No complaints. The room I had was on the 2nd floor. Beds were very comfortable....bathroom was clean.. refrigerator was cold. The heating and air seemed to work fine for an older unit. I would definitely choose this location again when flying out of Fort Myers. An easy drive in the morning...and a relaxing last night in the area.
ゲゲストWe love this location right in the middle of downtown Fort Myers, Florida. We've stayed here a few times, including before the recent renovation. There is a an interesting variety of rooms with different layouts which we enjoyed. This time we chose a King room with balcony and city view. The balcony is small but big enough for 2 people and while it does have an ok ”city view,” it also looks down upon another roof below with all the air conditioners (something we do not like when paying extra for a ”view”). However, you can also see the river along with a bit of Patio DeLeon, in the middle of downtown Fort Myers. At night, is where the view shines with all the colorful lighting and usual music can be heard from live musicians. This room is fairly large for a boutique hotel with a larger than usual TV. However, the TV and dresser on which it sits are oddly placed in a corner at an angle, and pretty far from the bed detracting from the size of the screen. Programming is not in HD and also not set to the correct proportions (everything was vertically compressed) and the remote does not allow adjustments for this. It has a nice kitchenette area with a mini fridge but no microwave which we thought it should have given the price for the room and how inexpensive small microwaves cost (It may have been an option but it should already be there). Shower is very nice but every 30 seconds the water pressure dropped, then climbed back up - no biggie, just odd. Toilet paper seemed cheap for this type of hotel but all other items seemed to match this type of hotel. You have to pay $3 per bottle for the 2 bottles that are already in the room. It's like ”nickel and diming” for something as inexpensive as bottled water - like having no microwave, it takes away from the experience given the price of the room. Some light fixtures were not fully seated into the ceiling and like most hotels, the air vent in the bathroom had visible dust (I realize most people don't even look at these things, but I tend to notice it). The bed, although newer, was very firm, and not what we typically find in an upscale hotel. The walls are ”thin” allowing sounds from outside and adjacent rooms to be heard which is just an observation, not necessarily a negative. Front desk personnel were friendly, professional and helpful. Parking options are basically valet or one of 2 nearby parking garages. One parking garage is literally across the street which worked great for us at a lot less than using valet - pros and cons to each. The ice machine on our floor was not working which requires you to acquire ice on another floor (we were on the 7th floor - the top floor). There is a nice little rooftop bar which has a similar view of the city as our room but a little higher. The bar area has decent seating with a good mix of small couches, chairs and high top tables. We did not eat or have room service during this stay but it's available. Overall, it's a very nice, small hotel in an ideal, convenient location and we will definitely go back.
Do not stay here. While staff is friendly, service is not consistent. Rooms are musty and bath tubs are disgusting. Did not feel safe. Not worth the money. Towels are thread worn . Our room had several lights without lampshades. I had late checkout and when housekeeping asked when I was leaving, she made a face and shook her head at me!
Hurricane-damaged and tired, but the renovations continue. The historical mineral springs and buildings are history but the adjacent ”Tiki Bar” is really hopping at night. Management is renovating the motel building, leaving the grounds/sidewalks covered in parts/junk, several tradesmen sleep nearby in their cars, but the motel room interiors are in excellent condition. Basic breakfast selections in a once-proud restaurant.
MMissy NI would highly recommend this place, the staff go out of their way to be helpful and caring, the place is always clean. I especially love the front desk staff Cheryl and Kristian and must say my teenage is quite found of them too. Your not just a number , it’s nice to be greeted by my name when I walk in and I know my daughter is safe which is everything without safety we have nothing. Pete the maintenance man goes out of his way to say hello to everyone he passes and Wendy is just a ray of sun shine u can’t help but smile around her
