My daughter and I were traveling for a gymnastics competition. We were pleased with the location's proximity to the Fort Worth Convention Center and dining options. The room and hotel were pretty clean overall.
However, these are the weird things that ruined our stay:
- The bathroom door knob was missing. I know it sounds weird, but there was no knob--just a big hole in the door where one should be.
- The heat in our room did not work. We were cold and had it set to 80, but it only blew cold air.
- Upon arrival at breakfast (included with our specific booking) no one acknowledged us or greeted us. We waited for a while and then I tracked down a worker putting out food to ask if we seat ourselves or if someone seats us. She did not reply to me (language barrier), but got someone to tell us we could just seat ourselves. It was confusing and unwelcoming. I witnessed other patrons enter after me and share the same confusion and have to ask as well. A simple greeting, welcome, or explanation could go a LONG way.
I am not typically a complainer, so the issues above would've normally been mentioned at checkout for resolution before the next time they put someone in the room. It wasn't worth the hassle of moving to a different room.
- (This was the biggie.) We had a family enter our room because they were given keys and assigned OUR room at check in. We had not checked out, and now our keys would no longer work. The family returned to the desk and were assigned a different room. When I asked about this mix up at the desk, they told me they ”didn't know how that had happened” like I was somehow making it up. They reprogrammed our key cards and assured us that no one else would bother us during the remainder of our stay.
- They charged me for one night of parking instead of two, and charged me for breakfast although it was included with my booking. These charges were resolved and an apology was extended for the inconveniences of the stay.
I would not stay at this hotel again, and will choose differently when traveling there next year. It was a hassle and a disappointment.
We arrived early and were very grateful that we were able to get a room a couple hours before checkin time. While I was checking in, there was an extremely unprofessional lady (I think she may have been the manager) on the phone speaking extremely loudly and ghetto (it’s the best way to describe her conversation). She was on the phone speaking about getting keys from another location because this location was had low quantity. She went on to say something about the payment and a check needing to clear. I attempted to block out the conversation while I was being checked in but she was sooooo loud. The young lady checked us in and I was actually surprised that we did not receive any type of welcome gift similar to what we receive for elite status. Not even water. We were in a corner room with an amazing view. The room was spacious; however, the bathroom was very tight. The toilet is literally in front of the door which made it tight getting in and out of the bathroom. The room was overall clean, except the floor doesn’t seem to be mopped often. I accidentally dropped some food and got a wet paper towel to wipe it up and it was filthy. The location is perfect with access to lots of high end restaurants. However, gluten free options are limited. I stayed at a different hotel about a block or so away earlier during the summer and it was an absolute struggle trying to find good gluten free options in this area. I doubt that we will return to this location, although I really wanted to like it.
No improvement since last visit. Smoke smell still fills the Lobby from the open-flame cooking of Toro-Toro Restaurant. Great restaurant -- poor location choice. Hotel rooms are long-past due for gut renovations, as the rooms we have had on 2 visits confirm, which will cause us to stay elsewhere in the future. How old, stained, worn & chipped must furniture &/or bathroom fixtures become ”before” being replaced? All the staff were polite, courteous & helpful so no personnel complaints & housekeeping was basically OK. Attached parking garage is convenient since everything you want to do Downtown is within easy walking distance.
ゲゲストWent for business trip and family joined. Better than my last experience in a towne place suites in Kentucky I recently went to. Great ft worth location just not a walking distance from much. Better drive 2 to 10 minutes to get to much to eat or do. Friendly staff and spacious suites. Modern hotel, clean and well kept 11 am check out and bacon on morning 1 was a little limp bit otherwise pretty good stay
We stayed at this hotel during the AAC basketball conference tournament. We only stayed 1 night on 3/11/23. We got there around 6 PM to check in. There was no one at the front desk. We said “Hello” a few times, knocked on the counter. We waited for about 5 minutes until an employee showed up to check us in. We dropped off our luggage and went to dinner. We returned to the hotel around 9-10 PM. By the time we got to bed we found out the mattress sags really bad. We put up with it for the night. The room is clean and spacious. Beware that there is no safe for your valuables/electronics. There is a curtain that separates the bed from the sofa area. It is solid blue vinyl. The curtain reminds me of hospital/rehab semi-private rooms where they have curtains for patients’ privacy. On Sunday morning at 10 AM the maid knocked on our door twice. We responded “Yes”. Before we could get to the door she used her key card and tried to enter the room. Good thing we used the interior lock so she couldn’t enter. There is a breakdown in the housekeeping process. Housekeeping normally does not come in to clean a room that is to be check out that day, not until a guest has checked out. We won’t be back.
PPioneer17948243883I have been coming to this hotel multiple times over the last 6 weeks to visit a relative who is hospitalized. The accommodations are clean and comfortable, there's a nice complimentary breakfast every morning, the location is ideally located near some great restaurants, the Montgomery Street Antique Mall, and easy access to Harris Hospital. What _really_ makes this place great is the staff though. From Front Desk to Housekeeping to Maintenance to ”The Breakfast Ladies,” everyone seems to find genuine joy in helping their guests. Those smiles and welcomes and helpful attitudes make me feel like I'm one of the family. You can tell a lot about a place by the way the staff interacts with each other when they think nobody is looking...these are good folks who love each other and love serving their guests. My first experience kept me coming back, and now there is no place I'd rather stay.
PpjshooterkbThe staff very friendly n kind and understanding we lost our home to a fire a neighbor started n they let us stay in parking lot until we can check in I do recommend the motel it's easy to get to n you got some restaurants around but they always greet you with smiles and address you with respect the one young man name Dev so sweet he really knows how to treat the guest ,the matience guy very cool ,this other guy tall guy can't remember his name but I had messed up on the app making the reservation n he took the time to helps us fix the reservation n get us in the room . we are leaving Texas for had nothing but bad luck here ,but if you come visit Fort Worth this is the place to stay. JJalaunii OBoth nights i was there someone “mistook” my room or atleast thats what the front desk said when I called down saying someone keeps trying to open my door. I had ants in the bed DISGUSTING BUT THE BIG NO REFUND SIGN AT FRONT & the fact I booked it through work I didnt even bother complaining. The after hour lock on the back door never actually activated so anyone could walk in the building. Middle of summer & the pool was closed. Immediate area is a little industrial/sketchy but i didnt have any actual issues outside. I gave 2points because parking was ample & great also they pre cooled my room which was great for the 104 texas weather. I will not stay here again but for the price it did its job since i wasnt there except for maybe 8hrs in total.
The hotel room was horrendous, not safe and not fit for people to stay at. I don’t want other people making the same mistake of staying there…I tried complaining at the front desk but they wanted nothing to do with me. The front door to the room was hanging off the wall, connected only at the bottom, blinds and window didn’t work and both stuck closed, the fire alarm was hanging off the wall and didn't work with exposed electric cables, bathroom door was kicked in with a hole in it, the mirror was smashed, it smelt like something was decomposing and the window frames and walls were covered in mould. Next level bad!
