Wow, this established has been open for 11 days as on 10/11/19. As I drove in, I was already impressed with the facility. But walking in this lobby blew me away. This feels more like an establishnent that is right under Intercontinental in the IHG family if brands. I have NEVER seen a full service Holiday Inn, Staybridge, Holiday Inn Express or even an Indigo this impressive. The room is large, exceptionally designed with the most comfortable beds I've slept on in a hotel. The breakfast was fairly basic, but still itquite tasty. Even though they were sold out and they were feeding about 200 people, the breakfast attatendances kept everything full and fresh. Housekeeping is simply fantastic. All the staff were exceptional, but I would like to point out the General Manager, Terri Aunkst and front desk clerk Oz. I was in the area, last minute, for an emergency. and their compassion, empathy and help was amazing. I will forever be grateful and will be a loyal customer from this point forward!!
My family loves staying at this embassy when we come to TN to visit family. However, this last time I needed to extend my room so my elderly and limited-mobility mother would not have to wait in the lobby while from 11am-3pm while I finished my work day. She was watching my infant in the room. I was told by a very inconsiderate front desk worker that there was no way she could give me late check out because they were in the negative on our room type. She told me I would have to move out of the room and pay for a full day in a different room. Disappointed I returned to my room. The next morning I went back to the front desk to double check and two very pleasant front desk workers quickly extended my room with no hesitation and let me know it’s only $50 and would be much cheaper than paying for another day. Magically at check out the inconsiderate desk worker was back at the desk so I let her know I would be reporting her behavior. She proceeded to tell me that the other employee did the wrong thing and she was right. Then my bill on my room started to raise with random room rate increases after I had already checked out. I think this terrible employee saw that my room was extended and decided to mess with my bill. This is the worst embassy experience I have ever had.
This hotel is in a great location, within walking distance of restaurants. They offered a free dinner on Tuesday night and free breakfast each morning. The hotel personnel are very nice and very welcoming on arrival. We did have a problem with the water temperature in our shower but they handled that immediately after we informed them. My one big disappointment was their bed! It was a king bed but fell to a gully in the middle! It was not comfortable and my husband ended up on the sofa. Their pillows need replacing also as they had a sweaty head smell. If they address these issues, which are big ones, it would be a good hotel. Afterall the job of a hotel is to offer a good night’s sleep. Without a good bed, it is difficult to rest well. We also noticed the carpeting near the elevator was worn so perhaps a redo of this hotel is needed at this time. Marriott is a good brand so I hope they will listen and address these concerns.
The staff was very friendly, but so many things wrong about our stay. Our room had several electrical outlets not working, TV had no ability to stream using our Netflix and Disney accounts, the sink/ mirror area was directly in front of the beds (not in the bathroom), so getting ready while others were still sleeping was next to impossible, and the breakfast- well, due to food allergies, I could only eat the fresh fruit salad, and it tasted bad. How do you mess up cutting up fruit?? If all this wasn’t enough, all cars in the hotel parking lot were broken into our 3rd night, including ours. Most had smashed car windows but luckily ours was vandalized without broken glass. The parking lot was so poorly lighted, we had even remarked where to park to be safe our first night. To be fair, there apparently were about 20 hotels in the area whose parking lot cars were burglarized also. The poorly lighted lot at this hotel surely made it favorable for the robbers. We checked out early after this happened, and won’t stay there again. It’s so rare for me to post bad reviews, but so many issues here.
ゲゲストWhile this hotel is clean and safe and the front desk staff are amazing, the housekeeping staff is very inconsiderate. At 7 am each morning, weekdays and weekends in July and they are SO loud in the halls, screaming down the hall to one another, playing music, singing etc. I’ve overheard them waking families with kids and small babies next door. The babies are inconsolable because of the loud noise and are now crying nonstop. The posted quiet time is until 9 am. It is not the place to stay if you have children and are vacationing in hopes of relaxing.
I really enjoyed my stay at Homes2suites in Franklin. The location was great with a mall and plenty of restaurants nearby. Nice lobby, with plenty of sofas, chairs and tables, and exercise room, pool and outdoor area with fireplace. The hotel was clean and the staff attentive with one of the staff members, I believe her name was Abby, exceedingly professional, courteous and kind. One suggestion would be to repair the broken tiles in the elevator. Other than that A+.
Disgusting. Another ”Choice” Hotels disappointment. The first thing I noticed when I walked in my room was the thick smell of very old cigarette smoke. Then I saw the almost comical dilapidated and dated whirlpool tub right there in the room, like something from the Playboy Mansion circa 1972. There were lights out everywhere. The one on the ceiling over the sink did not work at all. Two bulbs were out in the array over the mirror. The remote control had no back and did not work. I took it to the desk. The clerk there did promptly and politely change them and tried it on his TV. It changed the volume there, so we both assumed it was fixed. Back in the room, I found that it still could not change the channels, and anyway the reception was terrible. The bed was very worn out; it was literally concave on both sides from use. When I finally decided to lie down in the uninviting bed, I tried to lock the deadbolt on the door to find it was misaligned with the opening in the door frame. Locking the door was impossible. That was a good enough reason to leave and demand a refund, but it was late and I was tired, so I toughed it out and took my chances. Avoid this place at all costs.
ゲゲストI was greeted by Faith. She was kind and welcoming. The whole staff there was amazing. It is in a great location and peaceful and quiet. It was nice to always be greeted with a smile. Not just in the lobby but when walking on the property I was always told hello and asked how I was doing. I highly recommend this hotel!
