When we went to Anaheim, we originally had booked a room at the Westin. This was a few miles away from the Disney Parks. Due to a change in plans, we had to extend our stay and ended up booking a room at the Residence Inn because the price was a little bit less and we got a bigger room which came with the kitchen. We got a cheaper rate, however, the rooms were not clean at all. The housekeeping only comes every three days and they only change the sheets when they come to clean. Every time I called housekeeping to request towels or other items, they never showed up. We all ended up getting bites from either fleas or bed bugs. Not sure which one, but our son has marks on his legs now from the bites. We complained to the manager and the only thing did was take off half of the parking for 4 or the 5 days were stayed there. There are so many other hotels in the Disneyland area to stay at that are a lot cleaner and closer. The only thing that I can say that was good was the free breakfast and the pool . Other than that, the rooms were old and outdated, the water in the bathtub barely got hot and the faucets were rusted. There was only one sink for everyone to share. The whole design of the room just did not work for us. Definitely a lesson learned! We will not be staying here again.
Great little gem off the highway for a 6 day trip to Disneyland. Entire hotel was under renovation during our stay, and the rooms are improved. Room is spacious and appeared clean and fresh. The renovation is one of those “surface” renovations where when you look close there’s a lot of things they didn’t and probably won’t touch. The staff were super polite and helpful when I needed anything. The AC unit was vibrating super loud and I asked them to look at it and see if they could do anything. When we returned it was silent! Be aware though, the entrance to the hotel is on Trask, and there is no way to turn left into the lot at the light. You have to go down a bit further and U turn. I do recommend this place if you’re on a budget but still want to be close enough to the parks.
