It's next to Walmart and all the restaurants in the small lake town. I suggest jak and Rips / kennel club for dinner and Spencer's for milkshakes. Hotel is run down. Not clean as standards should be. It's ok for a budget traveler overpriced for it's lack of amenities and services. Needs updating badly and the location is great can walk to eat shop sleep

Check in was easy and the check in person was very cordial and personable. The condition of the room, not so much. The shelf above hanger rack was covered in construction dust. The bathroom looked like it was left partially refurbished. Every piece of metal in the room, from the metal lamp bases to any metal shelving covered in rust. The breakfast only consisted of cereal, some bread for toast or a biscuit with a sausage available. Pretty pitiful, even for a motel breakfast. My wife and I are not really fussy and the price was good but....

Can only describe this room as unacceptable. Beautiful floor if someone would wash it. Bed was a mattress on a metal spring which was set on a platform. Squeaked loudly when you got in or out of bed. Advertising cable TV. Six stations available. 3 of them are the same. I could go on but am just going to try to forget last night!

The front desk attendant was awesome. Our room was subpar. Desperately needed to be swept and mopped. Smelled like stale smoke. Breakfast was basically non existent. It was just a quick overnight stay.

The worse hotel stay ever. I’m sorry to say it! I’m not a complainer! Room had a very strong bleach smell and irritated our eyes, but floors were dirty and looked like piles of debris were swept aside but not picked up. Every piece of metal was badly corroded. The security latch for the exit door was pulled out of the wood trim and was just hanging on the bolt. Leather hassock was worn and torn. Water out of the tap was rusty color, so we dare not make coffee and did not trust the breakfast because of it, meager as it was. Web said the rooms were sound proofed. It was very noisy most of the night. The bed was comfortable and it looked clean. This just was not the way a vacationing couple wants to spend a refreshing night on the road.

I liked the property and felt safe and secure. I would have preferred scrambled eggs instead of the waffles. The property is well maintained and the staff were courteous.

Our room was overpowered by bleach. There was supposed to be a continental breakfast, but there wasn't. There was no juice and grey sausage patties.

The gal checking us in, stayed on a personal Al phone call with her mother the whole time. In my opinion… Rude & unprofessional. We arrived just before 10pm and the first room we were assigned was freezing as the temp outside was only 40 degrees and the heat was shut off. After an hour of trying to warm the room up with a heating unit cranked to 90 and the air compressor for the A/C continuously kicking on and blowing cold air… I finally called down to the front desk. The gentleman that was now on shift, was very accommodating and immediately moved us to a different room with working heat. We didn’t bother seeing what the breakfast included in the morning, so gave Jo opinion on that.

The price was good and the location was ideal as I was driving from Gulf Shores to St Louis. The actual hotel itself was underwhelming. Definitely a motel and not a hotel.

Clerk was rude who checked me in. The room seemed clean, but was in bad condition. The breakfast was poorly stocked. Cleaning staff knocked on our door at 8 to see if she could clean.

Sink area was full of ants. Talked with front desk. He blamed it on cleaning staff. He came to room and observed it. Said he would take Care of it. Later that night they were back. I washed them down the sink. Next morning they were there again. I looked under the sink and it's nasty. There is a bottle of Paul masson Brandy in there

The lamps were rusted and it smelled of mildew. The bed was hard.

This hotel is in need of a complete remodel. You notice how rundown it is when you pull up to the hotel parking lot. It seemed very unsafe when I got out of my car. I was hesitant at first but I decided to go ahead and go check into my room. I was given my key and proceeded to go into my room. This place was even more rundown once I got into my room. There was stains on the walls , old furniture, exposed electrical wire and an old antique box springs under the mattress. This place was so nasty that I decided to go tell the owner that I wasn't going to stay the night because of the conditions. They became very rude and argumentative. They refused to give me a refund. So I left the hotel. ******* ended up giving me a refund.
