An average and clean motel is a remote part of New Zealand. The room was clean although this is an old and somewhat dated motel.  The staff are friendly and helpful.  Noisy neighbours can be heard through the walls but otherwise reasonably quiet as it’s in a remote area.  My room had a small fridge and a kettle but no toaster or microwave. They provide breakfast, lunch and dinner in the restaurant. I has the roast lamb and it was good.  Wifi works ok in the bar and restaurant area but sometimes nonexistent in the room. I visited in the winter and it wasn’t expensive.  Overall an average experience with above average staff.

A good place to stop for a night. The hotel has a restaurant offer very good options for dinner, we really enjoyed Seafood Chowder and Teriyaki Chicken Salad The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, shower was decent. Plenty parking spaces. The only thing we missed was a little fridge in our room.

It is average, little town, not much choices. Got its own restaurant, food is average, do not expect it too much.

It is alright, but not great - certainly it is worn around the edges. It is the first place I stayed in during my 3 week holiday with no fridge... So much for the by now warm riggers of beer I bought at breweries en route. The service was never with any kind of smile. The food in their restaurant was adequate and the beer was, to my taste, bland and unexciting. Staying here is not a disaster, but nor is it memorable. For the amount they must make (the room was not inexpensive) they could and should do better. But I guess it is a captive market in season, and "just about good enough" is all they need to bother with.

Located at the Haast Junction with a petrol station nearby. Not a lot of food options, but you can go to the nearby Haast Township for a few more. Ample of parking, but not all of them are in front of the studio.

A perfect place to stop after a long drive. The beds are comfortable, and the rooms are quiet, clean, modern, and well‑maintained. Don’t let the exterior fool you—once you’re inside, the rooms are excellent.

We had a short stay at Heartland Hotel and wish it had been longer. A lovely comfortable stay and excellent evening meal in the restaurant.

The front desk staff was helpful. Relax environment.

Room was excellent - clean and tidy and well stocked. Hotel is located slightly out of main town but still on the main road. We had a meal at the restaurant and it was very nice but there was a long wait for the food - 50 minutes from ordering.

Everything was nice and pretty clean. The girl at the reception was hospitable and very helpful.

Fridge and kitchenette was shared in corridor outside room. We booked a family room and was a double and two singles and private bathroom. Was no photos available at the time so had not realised there was no sitting / kitchen space - but fine for one night driving through and bar / restaurant was open. Tea and coffee available in rooms.
