ペニーステラ アパートメンツ(Pennystella Apartments)

This review is specifically for Nikolas and his family that run and operate the cafe/diner at the pennystella apartments. I’ve traveled around the world a dozen times now, and I have never been in such welcoming company. We stumbled upon the Pennystella cafe randomly a discussed accommodations for a birthday dinner of 8 people and were provided with an exquisite meal of slow cooked potatoes and pork cooked inside their wood burning oven at the property, along side many other hand made dishes of shrimps, garden beets, and marinated fish. It was so delicious, we made reservations for another two days dinner, one day with huge plates of local caught red snapper from the morning. If you’re wanting a personalized experience with warm hearts and love put into your dinner, then look no further. A lot of the other restaurants offer these typical tourist menus, which are just ‘okay’, but dinner with Nikolas was something that I will always remember.

We had the pleasure of discovering Pennystella’s for dinner whilst in Agia Pelagia. Overall excellent experience! Stella was so lovely and went above and beyond to make our time memorable. From the complimentary shots of raki, to the homemade tzatziki and cake for dessert, the service was just incredible. Not to mention the amazing views, we would recommend this place!

Only a review of the restaurant. Stopped off as a lovely view and BBQ night advertised. Limited choice pork or steak. No priced menu. My wife doesn't eat pork or steak so had herb pie, came stone cold and not good. Worse, my pork (I eat anything) was raw all round the bone. Not rare, raw. 2 beers, poor food £50, there are much better options around.

Me and my mum came to this restaurant to eat most of the time we were in Crete. It is so special, from the staff who are amazing, to the amazing food and great wines!! The staff go above and beyond for you and will always help you with what you need. It felt like home for me here and I miss you all already. Love from the jersey girls, we will be back!!!

Sometime you are looking for an appartment and find an other family.. This place is absolutly perfect! Rooms are very nice, the pool is clean and fresh and food from Angela is delitious! I was never on a place like this - where you feel like you are home! Beautiful owner Stella and her family will make you feel you are a special one! Me and my family spent there 3 weeks and this was for the first time I was craying before leaving. If you will decide to visit this lovely place with an amazing sea view, you will not regret! There is many beaches you can take a rest and enjoy the sea but be prepare for a little wolk :-) Up and down is your daily routine.. The nearest shop have everything you need and is very close to apartments. Thank you Stella for an amazing holiday - looking forward to see you soon! Had an extended stay in a poolside apartment where there was excellent housekeeping, furnishings, and maintenance - inside and out. There were also good WiFi, furnishings, and electrical outlets in the apartment. An interesting mix of languages were heard during our stay. The family-owners of this 16-unit Aparthotel were consistently considerate, friendly, helpful, and respectful of guests. A break in the pleasantness occurred when a noisy group apparently bought drinks in the cafe to use the pool for an afternoon. PennyStella was located about a kilometer from both Agia Pelagia and Ligaria beaches and there were easy to find, but steep, small shortcuts to the beaches. The walk from either beach (and the multiple restaurants and stores there) was fairly strenuous - most people drove or rode. We had the veggie pizza and Greek salad at the PennyStella cafe - they were very good. There was a seasonal supermarket about 150 m somewhat uphill from PennyStella and it had a good, reasonably priced selection of items for self-catering. Across the road from PennyStella was a chapel, Ekklisia Agia Marina (well-attended feast day ~July 17), that regularly attracted tourists to its courtyard for photo ops of Agia Pelagia and the seaside. PennyStella’s pool was another major attraction - good-sized and well maintained. Bus stop #A13 for Heraklion’s Port bus station (3-5 daily - details on the KTEL website) was just outside PennyStella.

Al nostro arrivo in Grecia eravamo molto stressati ma col passare dei giorni ci siamo molto rilassati e il merito è stato di questo splendido posto e dei suoi proprietari, capaci di accogliere sempre col sorriso. Bellissimo il panorama dalla terrazza, buonissimi i pranzi e le cene a base di pesce fresco. E poi c'era la piscina... Tutto perfetto!

Siamo una famiglia con 2 bimbi e abbiamo soggiornato al Pennystella due settimane…piccolo appartamento dotato di tutto l’occorrente…Mi ha colpito positivamente il fatto che l’appartamento veniva riassettato quotidianamente da un addetta alle pulizie come se fossi in hotel…ha una splendida vista su piscina e mare che dà un senso di pace incredibile! Proprietari gentilissimi e super disponibili!! Consiglio di creare un’area lavanderia a disposizione dei clienti 😊 Sicuramente ci ritorneremo!
