We always stay in Holiday Inns and on this particular vacation this was our 4th stop. It was by far the best all because of the staffs incredible nature's and personalities! Everyone was smiling and friendly, willing to help with no question and full of welcoming words! Ariel was the first face we saw and she was the perfect gal to welcome us. So cheery and bright! Whoever hires the staff at this hotel is brilliant! People relations takes a good hotel to an outstanding hotel and Elko has mastered it complete with a great breakfast!
The room was overpriced at $250. The room we had was in need of an upgrade. It was late and no other rooms available at this hotel. Carpet was so dirty it was black by the entry way and bathroom showed signs of mold. Front desk employee was pleasant and helpful. Breakfast decent and the employee working the breakfast area was kind and kept things clean. She also made some tasty homemade peanut butter muffins.
We’re traveling from Colorado Springs and we’re exhausted. Searched everywhere and everything was crazy expensive because of it being a weekend. Then we found this motel about 1.5 hrs past the place we were going to make our first stop. The gentleman at the counter (owner?) was so sweet and funny that he made some of our exhaustion disappear. He gave us what we requested which is a first floor room. The bed was really comfortable, pillows a little lumpy but not a huge thing. I had my own and my husband wanted to try them out. The room was immaculate! I felt comfortable and was able to sleep. The breakfast was great. This was way better than any large chain hotel. We usually stay at Hilton but I’m glad I stayed. I’m on assignment in California for three months. On the way back I will be staying here for sure. Thank you!! Tonie and David
Last-minute change from another hotel to this one was wonderfully accommodated by Diamond at the front desk. She easily got me checked in for a one-week stay with zero problems or drama. Originally planned to stay at a different hotel, but upon arriving at that hotel didn't like what I saw and looked for other options, and found this Marriott. After a very long drive, it was a great experience to be be assisted by someone like Diamond upon check-in, who expressed a genuine interest in providing excellent customer service. Next time we are in Elko, we will be staying here again. The hotel is newer, everything is clean and has a good presentation. Zero complaints.
Although this is one of the cheapest options for staying in McCall the hotel room was very nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. Conveniently located close to downtown with it’s many restaurants and shops. Short car ride to Brundage ski resort as well.
The story begins on my east bound side of the trip. I called the hotel to check out a detail and the clerk who answered made it sound like a dive. Said the maids didn’t show up book at your own risk… I skipped but after 2 other M6 stays on the way out and 3 heading back west I decided to gamble… I requested a first floor room I have 2 small dogs that don’t like stairs. One is a tripod. They gave me a second floor room in the most in accessible corner of the building overlooking a pool being sand blasted. The (guests?) in front looked like homeless, there was a sign on the door quiet time 7pm to 7am… No one was at the desk, I tried calling out no one there. So I left. Got 3/4 the way to the car and a woman comes up the sidewalk won’t let me leave. Goes in and apparently I was the only reservation of the day. She called me by name. My card was charged $64.00 at check in. After seeing the guy sandblasting I decided I’d eat the loss and find another place down the street. This morning I got up and found my card had been charged a second time during night audit, this time for $100.00 I tried contacting hotel and motel 6 I couldn’t get anyone anywhere. Not even their automated customer care thing worked. This was the LAST time I ever try motel 6. The downside risk is just to much. They don’t have any quality control any longer.
