Four Points by Sheraton Houston West

We recently stayed here for my sons baseball tournament. I ignored some of the reviews but wish I wouldn't have. I never leave reviews but this stay warranted the effort to warn others. This place should be called "Lipstick on a pig". It is an old hotel that home some basic remodeling done. There is a 2" gap in bathroom door which allowed zero privacy, Stains in bathtub around drain, and paper-thin walls and doors. When traveling for sports it is imperative that we have a breakfast option at the hotel due to early games. While this hotel offers a "breakfast", it is absolutely disgusting. The biscuits were so hard that the fork broke trying to split it, the juice tasted terrible, and the eggs appeared to be a frozen re-heat. We were forced to eat froot-loops. I have seen prisoners get better breakfast. The bar is not open, and never is. Avoid this hotel at all costs. Complete rip-off.

This hotel is horrible. I requested coffee from the night receptionist one night so I would have when I woke the next day. She claim she had no knowledge of where to obtain the coffee and was really rude. Next day asked cleaning people for coffee and only had decaffeinated coffee. Ice machine does not work on any floors you have to go down and ask them the for ice such an inconvenience. The next day I wanted to just have my bed made from no cleaning or anything and it took them until after 3pm just to make a bed. The water pressure in bathroom was very low. I do not rerecommend this hotel!

Terrible! Don’t do this to yourself. No A/C, no staffing for FREE breakfast so no breakfast, no coffee; no water due to leaky pipe. No quarters for laundry. Take my advice and save the headache. Pay more for another property. Worst Marriott property we have ever been to.

The manager Paul has put his stamp on the hotel. Since it has opened there have been marked improvements. The staff is attentive, efficient and friendly. The facilities are being upgraded on a continuing basis. The gym for instance is twice the size of most hotels and with more equipment and weights. The chef makes the most delicious meals. The registration desk is staffed by the most wonderful ladies. They are willing to go the extra mile. This hotel is a steal for what you get. Do not delay, book your next trip to Houston now at the 4 Points Sheraton West.
