We came to stay at the hotel for a Wedding for one night. Our stay at the hotel was short, thank goodness. Our check-in process started off difficult because nobody was at the front desk and then once we were checked in, we had to ask for a Wedding gift bag as the gentleman forgot. We got in the room and I noticed the comforter had brown dirty marks all throughout. I called and spoke to someone and they said they will have somebody change it. When the two housekeepers got to the room, they decided to tell me it was humidity and not dirt. I didn’t know humidity can dirty a comforter. And if that's the case, I am assuming there is way too much humidity. After arguing that I wanted it changed, they finally did so. After that, I noticed crumbs all over the floor as this room has never been vacuumed between stays. At this point, I had to get ready for the Wedding and didn’t have time for another argument. For $200 at a Holiday Inn, I am expecting a clean room for me to get ready at and to sleep. I went to the Front Desk while I was leaving and yet again, hard to find somebody there so I waited for a little bit. I then told her my scenario and she said housekeeping left for the day and she would notify her manager. Never heard anything. Early that morning, we were checking out. Once again, I am saying “Excuse Me” because I see somebody in the office to the left of the Front Desk but nobody is acknowledging my presence. The lady finally comes out and tells me “oh, the manager gave you $20 off your stay.” I just wanted to leave because of the lack of customer service. That following Monday, I called the hotel and spoke to Linda, Director of Sales. She heard me out and basically told me I was a liar, because the housekeeping is so good, and there’s always somebody at the front desk. She said the last time somebody called to complain was 2 years ago, the reviews here show otherwise. She said she would get back to me and I have yet to hear from her. This just explains why I don’t believe what she has to say is not the case. I would have left if it wasn’t for the Wedding. I do not recommend staying here.

First of all, I haven't even checked in. We have an upcoming booking. And we had all sorts of questions and requests. Had 2 different rooms. Even before I could request for rooms to be adjacent, Nelda understood the need. And offered that she will have rooms adjacent to each other so that its easier for the family. Next, she answered all other questions with patience. I am looking forward to this trip, more than anything else, to meet customer service experts like her who are dedicated, passionate, friendly and goes above and beyond to ensure the visitors are comfortable and have a good experience. You are doing a great job Nelda.
On arrival, we were greeted by a friendly staff member. He offered a choice of rooms and asked which floor we wanted to be on, and then he asked if we wanted housekeeping service during our stay, which was three nights. Because it was Christmas weekend, we told him we would go without unless we needed more coffee for our room. He advised us they no longer provided in-room coffee but it was available in the lobby 24/7 and was brewed fresh every hour. Our room (104) was clean and welcoming, the bed was very comfortable, and a refrigerator and microwave were there and in good condition. It was a little cooler in there than we like, so we turned the thermostat up a couple of degrees. From that moment on, every time the heat came on it sounded like a jet plane taking off, and when it turned off it sounded like a jet landing. Not conducive to a good night’s sleep. In the morning we went to use the shower, and we couldn’t get hot water. Tried to call the desk and got no answer. Had to get dressed to go to the desk, where the girl told me it sometimes shut itself off when the weather was cold, but she would turn it back on and we’d have hot water in 5 or 10 minutes. I got the last of the coffee from the carafe in the lobby, took it back to the room, and it was obviously not brewed during the past several hours, probably left over from yesterday. While waiting for hot water, went on my tablet and used the free Wi-Fi, which was good. After enjoying a hot shower, I tried shaving, but the mirror was all fogged up, and there was no exhaust fan. After it cleared, still couldn’t see much because of the poor lighting. Those strips of light down the sides of the mirror are totally inadequate. Nice mood lighting, but not good for seeing your up close. The free breakfast was good if you didn’t eat the eggs, which were supposedly scrambled, but apparently they were made from rubber, as I couldn’t even cut them with a knife. The waffles and muffins were good, and so was the yogurt. When we returned to the room for night two of listening to the jet planes, we had no Wi-Fi. Oh well, it was cold and windy, so maybe the cable was down. From then on, the was no Wi-Fi whatsoever. At checkout, we were told their system was down, so they would have to email our receipt. We will not be returning to this hotel , even though the location is ideal for us when visiting family. We’ll pay a little more and drive a little farther, but hopefully we’ll have a more pleasant stay somewhere else. I must add that the weather was terrible, with frigid temperatures and high winds, so a few of the difficulties could have been caused by that and not to be blamed on the hotel or its staff.
