Having stayed for 6 days my first room was near the road and very noisy. Could not sleep. Springs were poking through the mattress, road noise kept me up and the tele did not work! I changed rooms, no tele in the room, at all, quieter though. Was asked for a deposit of £50, gave the receptionist my card. They said it would take 14 days to receive my deposit back. Having phoned them today, they now say they did not charge me the £50 and this is 25 days later! They may be right that they did not take the deposit, however, the receptionist told me about the 14d wait. So not great service, not a great room, won't be staying there again.

So, my partner booked this hotel and then we read the reviews on trip advisor. Suffice to say, we then panicked to try and find another booking as the reviews on here are less then complimentary. Upon failing we decided to give it a try and play it by ear. However, we were greeted with a hotel that is completely different to these reviews. The building has all been freshly painted and decorated. In fact, they were repainting the outside wall whilst we were there. We were greeted by friendly hotel staff who were welcoming and pleasant. There is a £50 deposit but this is released back to you provided you don't smoke in the room or damage it. We were in room C14 and the building this room is housed in has just been recarpetted, you can literally smell the new carpet and paint. The room itself was nothing amazing, but it was clean and functional and more modern. There is plenty of storage although I would stay bring your own hangers for the wardrobe as there weren't any, but we were happy to just store our bags in there. There was a TV which worked perfectly. The bathroom was small but adequate with a working shower. There were 2 toilet rolls provided and complimentary soaps and 2 sets of clean white towels. The window in the bathroom was locked and didn't open. The two windows in our rooms opened and the curtains were clean and modern. The bedding was plain white, immaculate and the bed was firm but comfortable. I would recommend taking a pillow of your own as the ones provided are quite thin, but some people like that. The walls are quite thin in the building and we could hear what was going on in the hall way but that being said, there was barely anything happening and we slept soundly for the 2 nights we were there. We didn't have the breakfast as we don't think they were doing it, but if you would want that double check on reception. There was a kettle but no cups or teaspoons so I would take them. I would also recommend taking a fan in the summer, because we did find the room incredibly hot and humid but we are people who are ALWAYS hot, so this isn't a reflection on the room. All in all, it isn't the ritz but it is a lot better since undergoing some evident renovation and is a pleasant, budget friendly stay. The staff are super friendly and can't do enough for you. We will definitely rebook and look forward to seeing this little hotel getting better reviews going forward. I didn't take any photos as was too wrapped up in visiting London but it genuinely looks nothing like the photos on here anymore. Absolute dump. Pictures are deceiving. Theres no tea cups or complimentary tea/coffee. They charge extra £50 deposit on arrival n dont provide the basic. Rude and clueless staff. I had to argue to get tea/ coffee, no milk provided in the end. On arrival staff adamantly demanded the deposit referring back to website terms n conditions then when I referenced back to the website where it said breakfast is included they acted clueless n nodged their shoulders n refused to give me refund so i can leave and refer back to website claiming they dont deal with payments etc. contradicting fools and think they can bully u into their way. Do not book waste of time n money. Rather sleep in ur cars than here.

The hotel is basic and a building site. No cups, no shower gel and no toilet roll. Good thing is I have them in my bag. It’s cheap for one night. The place is clean at least. A deposit is held on my card. After two weeks it’s still not released. Don’t expect too much, then you will be fine in this place.

The reception is awful, the advertising is misleading, there is no restaurant or dinner service, the hotel is very dirty, the room is boxes small 45cm width windows and only the top window can be open, no curtain so woken up early no tea and coffe available in the room . Fir the price you can gind better hotel. NOT recommend and after 3 days still still vaiting for the refund of my deposite

Toilet seat broken, carpet stained, no customer service from reception( having dinner, requested for a fan several times and never came to tell me there wasn’t any until I was checking out)

As soon as I was checking in greeted with reception having an argument with customers.on my booking had breakfast included but get told I cannot have any as they have decided to close. I showed evidence and the manager decided to delete my email. Very rude and unhelpful. Would not recommend to anyone. Broken lights in the room and no fans. Or tea or coffee in room but there was a kettle. Customer service does not exist. You will be lucky to get a smile. Minus 5 stars and that’s generous. I contacted ******* who said would get back to me via chat but have not had a word from you. Shocking and bad.

Carpet dirty. No toilet paper. Receptionist very nice Did not like having to put down another deposit, even though paid for room already. Kettle with no cups No soap to wash hands

Be advised: - the hotel will take a £50 payment from your debit card, this isn't a pre-authorisation but an actual charge to your account returned to you in an advised 5 - 14 days. - You will be asked to provide your passport or driving license for ID purposes - This hotel is seemingly being used to support displaced people Positives: - The bedding was clean and comfortable - The beds are firm (my preference) - Breakfast is included, but this is mainly eggs, hashbrowns, sausage, toast - don't go expecting a full continental - Bathroom was adequate, a decent shower and clean. - There is adequate free parking for a London hotel - It is located across the road from a park which is good for a morning walk and is close to shops and local restaurants Negatives: - The hotel is showing signs of ware throughout - carpets could benefit from a shampoo and room furnishings are showing age - Triple room but only one cup and saucer (I'm northern, it had to be said! :-) ) We arrived at the hotel at 22:00 and left at 10:30 the following day as we were using the hotel as a base for our impromptu London adventure - for that purpose this was a perfectly good hotel. The bedding was clean and the private bathroom was adequate (again - a private bathroom for London rooms at this price point are VERY rare). I feel maybe hotel business is secondary to B&B accommodation at present and with the size of the accommodation the management may be in a position to "renovate" a part of the property for hotel use only - I would also probably suggest offering it as room only. A chain hotel room in this area of London would cost you approx £150 without breakfast, so please go to this hotel with expectations in line with what you paid for the room . Negatives:
