A last-minute decision led me to Erlanghe instead of Snow valley, and I discovered a tranquil and beautiful village. Although many of the original residents have moved away, some still choose to stay. The host, Sister Liu and her husband, are natives. They have lived in this village for decades.They are honest, kind-hearted people who treat their guests like families, running their homestay with sincerity and integrity. Holding onto such simple, genuine beauty is truly rare in this world filled with marketing gimmicks. They even built a small snow slope across from the house for the kids to play. Sister Liu keeps the rooms impeccably clean, the bathroom has no unpleasant odor at all! The kang (heated bed) was wonderfully warm, and after playing in the snow, lying down on it, I fell asleep almost instantly. Sister Liu’s dumplings were particularly beautiful, each one identical, and the wrappers had the fragrant of wheat, a flavor I hadn’t tasted in years. The wild mountain vegetables served at dinner were also unique. Sister Liu even specially scrambled eggs for my daughter ! Waking up to a world of glittering white snow was both familiar and strange. Taking a walk around the village, the crisp, crunching sound of footsteps in the snow was incredibly healing. Returning to Sister Liu’s freshly cooked porridge, steamed traditional sourdough buns, and homemade pickles (so delicious I could eat a whole bowl!) made the day utterly satisfying. I really wish I could have stayed a few more days!

Had such a wonderful stay at Snow Town Hotel. From the moment we arrived, the owner welcomed us with so much warmth and kindness. They are truly one of the friendliest and nicest hosts we’ve ever met. Throughout our stay, the owner always took the time to introduce and show us different activities around Snow Town, making sure we never felt bored and always had something fun to do. Every recommendation was thoughtful and exciting, which made our experience even more memorable. Staying here didn’t just feel like staying at a hotel—it felt like being taken care of by family. The inn is strategically located 20 mins drive away from the Snow Town, hence the afforardable per-night prices. The inn provided free transportation to and from the Snow Town. The rooms are massive, clean and beyond comfortable. The owner was helpful in arranging the transportation for us, by bus, from the Harbin city to the inn. All communications were done via WeChat and the staff was super efficient in making sure that all our needs during our stay were catered to. Despite the language barrier, they tried so hard to accomodate us. Would totally recommend this place if you're planning to visit the Snow Town/ Xuexiang.

So, from the day that I booked, this, I was issued a concierge who contacted me through the application called WeChat. We communicated quite a bit he checked on me daily all the way up to the day of our trip and he actually took the bus to meet us at the gate. This gentleman took care of us the whole time we were there in the service was excellent. If I had to complain about something, it would be the language barrier.  Prepare yourself to spend some extra money because all the rides and everything inside of Snowtown cost additional money but your concierge that’s provided by the hotel can help you choose what activities you want to do.  So this hotel is located inside China Snowtown. The best way to get there from Harbin is to take the train to Yabuli and then hire a driver to the snowtown. From there you will have to buy a ticket to snowtown and get on a very short bus ride to the main area.

Our stay was nothing short of fantastic, but what truly made this trip unforgettable was the amazing support from the hotel staff. From the very beginning, they arranged all our travel needs, including car rentals and a wonderful driver who also acted as our guide. Wang Jingyu was our primary contact at the hotel, and his excellent communication skills in English made everything even smoother. They also accommodated my food preferences, which added a personal touch to our experience. Their attention to detail and personalized service made our family vacation one of the best we've ever had. We’re filled with beautiful moments and cherished memories thanks to the care, support, and guidance provided by the team here. You all showed remarkable patience and kindness towards my family and me, making our stay truly special. I highly recommend anyone planning to travel to Harbin to contact Snow Mushroom Hotel for all your travel arrangements, not only in Snow Town but also in Harbin, Yabuli, and other places in the region. Zhoudajieminsu Hotel is located right inside Snow Town, which makes it extremely convenient to explore all the attractions. Everything is within walking distance, so getting around is very easy, especially during winter. The owner is exceptionally kind, friendly, and helpful. We were pleasantly surprised with a free room upgrade, and they also allowed us to have a late check-out at no extra charge. On top of that, the staff even helped us carry our luggage from the bus station to the hotel, which was a huge help in the cold and snowy weather. The hotel has a very welcoming atmosphere, and we noticed that many Malaysian travelers choose to stay here, which made us feel more comfortable and at ease. The location is very strategic, close to main spots, shops, and activities in Snow Town. Overall, our stay here was very pleasant and stress-free. The hospitality truly stood out, and we felt well taken care of throughout our stay. Highly recommended for Malaysian travelers or anyone visiting Snow Town who wants a convenient location and warm, genuine service.

We stayed at Mountain Talk for four nights and had a very pleasant experience. The hotel is strategically located inside Snow Village, making it easy to explore the area, especially during winter. The room was clean, well maintained, and offered a beautiful view of the snow-covered landscape, which made the stay feel extra special. The environment is very peaceful, perfect for families and travelers who want to relax after a full day in the snow. What truly stood out was the hospitality. The staff, especially Mr. Haizi, was extremely accommodating and helpful. He assisted us many times and made sure our stay was comfortable and smooth from start to finish. Tips for future guests: • Choose a room with a window view for the full snow village experience. • Winter nights can be very cold, so bring proper thermal wear even indoors. • The location is ideal if you want to enjoy night walks and early morning views without rushing. • If you need help with transport, schedules, or basic arrangements, do not hesitate to ask the staff. They are very willing to assist. Overall, Mountain Talk is a cozy and welcoming place to stay, with excellent service and a calm atmosphere. Highly recommended for those visiting Snow Village in winter, especially families.

Hotel is about 8-10min walk from the bus drop off area. Staff were polite, attended to my request promptly. We booked the family room which can accommodate 7 of us, however there were only 2 towels plus 2 disposable towels provided in the room. The hotel staff provided us with more towels upon request. The room was clean and tidy. There were 2 double beds which fit 4 of us, while another tatami bed barely fit the other 3 of us (wished it was bigger tatami), but it is just for one night, so it was alright. The room equipped with a big window which facing the Main Street, which is a plus point, great morning and night view of snow town from the view! Breakfast was great! A lot of variety and it was delicious. The hotel even gave us free frozen foods as supper. There were free 泼水成冰 activities provided by the hotel too. Overall the stay was great.

🏔️ Xueji Hotel (China’s Snow Town Scenic Area) ❄️ A small and cozy hotel that feels just like visiting family ❄️ Thank you to Xueji Hotel for the incredibly warm welcome from the very first moment we arrived. It truly felt like visiting relatives rather than staying at a hotel 🥰 The room was beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. It is equipped with a humidifier, which is extremely helpful in the cold, dry weather. What impressed us the most was the view from the room — we could even see fireworks 🎆 It was such a romantic and special experience. The hotel also offers local traditional outfits (red floral-style clothing) to borrow, perfect for strolling around the village and taking photos. We had so much fun and captured many beautiful pictures 📸 Most importantly, the hotel has an elevator, which is very convenient, especially in cold weather and when carrying luggage. 🍲 The hotel food was absolutely delicious. Every meal was prepared with care and tasted wonderful. Our whole family loved it — the three of us (father, mother, and child) truly enjoyed every meal ❤️ Special thanks to: 🙏 The hotel manager for kindly providing bottled water in full packs, with such thoughtful care 🙏 And the hotel staff for helping us arrange and book a photo studio, making everything smooth and easy for us This is not just a “beautiful” place to stay, but a hotel filled with warmth, care, and wonderful memories. The location is excellent and is about just 100m from where the bus stops. It is situated within the central street where all the actions are. The room was clean but basic. The view from the wndow of our room was simply gorgeous - picturesque snow mushrooms. Staff were very polite and helpful. The young man at the front desk was exceptionally helpful. He suggested what activities worth doing, and made all the necessary arrangements for us - transport, tickets and etc.. At his suggestion, we therefore visited Datudingz Mountain and Snow Valley - the two must visit places when staying in Snow Town. He also helped with the arrangement of our transportation to Harbin, our next stop. Coming to the not so good, we paid a 5 star price for a 2-star homestay type accommodation. While this is understandable, as the hotels here operate at most five months of twelve, during winter only, the amenities provided could be better and be better maintained. There was a foul strench from our toilet throughout our stay. Accessories were loosely secured due to wear and tear but should not be the excuse of leaving them.unrepaired. Disposal towels rather than proper towels were provided. These were thin and insufficient at drying the whole body. Also, there was only one piece provided per person for a two night stay, so no daily fresh towels.That said, I guess that most or all of the motels in Snow Town are of that state. Hopefully, this review will encourage some improvement.
