「After reading reviews and seeing images of the hotel I was apprehensive about staying at The Britainnia. The lobby wasn't the most welcoming. It seemed dark and probably hasn't been upgraded since the hotel was built in the early 70's. My Room 330 greeted me with the smell of fresh paint, new carpet, furniture and a recently upgraded bathroom. For the price I paid, it was good value for money.」

「Best swimming pool in Conventry, extra £5 per day per visitor, so I didn’t join. Self-check in, no service. Pub and Starbucks downstairs, Friday 4pm onwards free car park until Sunday. Weekday parking fee applies.」

「Reasonable room rates, room clean , water hot in bath/shower-food was extremely tasty, and excellent value for money for both evening meal and breakfast. Weather was hot and only improvement would have been to keep complimentary water/juice in foyer topped up as no cool water or drinks available in room.」

「My wife and I have not been to this hotel befor, we only stayed for one night as we were just visiting my brother who lives a couple of miles away. Our room was absolutely fantastic, complimental drinks and kettle. The room was spotless, and the beds really comfortable. We had free WiFi and a smart tv. At.breakfast, we had plenty of choice, cereal, fresh fruit and beautiful choice of cooked breakfast. The staff were brilliant, friendly and helpful. When we come back to Coventry, we know we will be stopping here.」

「A hotel that’s perfect for public transportation and by car: it’s this. On the square opposite Coventry Rail Station along the main road with drop off access. Part of the IHG brand, the hotel is stuffed with modern, quirky colourful decor including a silver open top Austin Healy in the reception area. The ground floor is one big open space that navigates from lobby to bar to restaurant/breakfast area and an exit where the outdoors semi enclosed seating area is. It’s Britain, so no heaters or covers but it’s an acceptable smoking area! Upon checking in we received a 20% voucher off all the F&B which doesn’t happen often. The kitchen was closed by 9 but we and our friends enjoyed a drink in the bar area. The room was super lovely, all brand new, super clean and nicely decorated. Personalised smart TV but the smart function didn’t work alas! Overall: a wonderful experience!」

「When we arrived at the hotel that I’ve found out that none of the rooms (booked 4 rooms) we’ve booked had AC. I had queried with the staff and apparently none of their rooms has AC. She said they did escalate to this to trip.com as on their website advertised that the hotel have AC. They had a fan but not very good. Asked for spare one but they couldn’t provide. :( For parking, per night £5 which is not mentioned on trip.com. But the rooms were clean, staff are friendly.」

「We had a fantastic stay overnight. fabulous staff willing to help very caring and understanding very helpful all the time we was there. breakfast was amazing. I’m very wonderfully presented those everything you wanted and all nicely displayed and absolutely wonderfully clean and the staff was great so Wood come back thank you. Thank you for everything bye-bye.」
