This 1800 Sq. foot home is located in the historic mill town of Fries, VA. The beautiful New River flows by our small village on it's way up north. 'The New River Trail' follows the river from Fries to Pulaski for over fifty miles. It is a 'Rails to Trails' project for bikers, hikers and horses. There is very little incline or decent and you will find trestles, a tunnel, beautiful wild flowers, shoals and lots of cool shade in mostly secluded deep woodlands. The fishing is great along with canoeing, tubing and kayaking. Blue Grass Music is plentiful with The Galax Fiddlers Convention and Fries Fiddlers Convention the second and third weeks in August.The house is only 14 miles from the most visited National Park, 'The Blue Ridge Parkway' and the Blue Ridge Music Center.
