Cozy little independent studio with safe offstreet parking. Parking area and property is shared with the main house, but there is lots of privacy with a large covered porch that looks out over a veggie garden. Basic amenities provided so that you can focus on experiencing the great outdoors in the nearby state and national parks or any of the other local sightseeing opportunities. It is a very cozy space best suited for a couple or single guest. Or travel with a pet - fully fenced yard provided.Very cozy tucked away spot that's great for listening to the rain under the metal roof over the big porch. Lots of sunlight when the clouds clear which adds to the warmth of the space. Limited amenities, but a kitchenette space and shower stall are provided. Other amenities include soap, shampoo, conditioner, towels,as well as coffee, tea, coffee maker, hot plate, toaster, microwave, utensils, cups, plates, pot and pans and micro-fridge/freezer. Please just reach out if there's something else that's needed, we likely have it and are able to lend it.Guest access and parking:The gate from the parking area can be accessed with a latch and the front door to the studio is accessed with a keypad using a 4-digit code (usually the last 4 of your phone number unless otherwise specified).Please only use parking space #2 during your stay as we do host another rental on site. The perfect gathering place for larger groups and corporate retreats! Centrally located, this 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath home is tucked away on a private street at the end of a cul-de-sac. Hot tub and fire pit recently added.Spacious with a family room, living room, and game room--perfect for gatherings and entertainment. Just minutes from Sequoia Park and the skywalk, set on half an acre, with the adjacent lot overlooking a redwood gulch with a small creek. Updated appliances and lots of room for parking!The spaceThe house is a 2,300+ sq. ft. home with two levels. The sleeping areas are located upstairs, with one sleeper sofa located off of the dining room on the first floor. Spacious and perfectly spread out for larger groups to unwind and enjoy their own private areas of the house. There is a an en-suite bathroom off of the primary suite as well as ample closet space. In addition, there is another large bathroom upstairs for the other rooms to use, and a large game room with queen beds meant to maximize occupancy for larger groups.The main house is located on a mostly paved surface, with an adjacent lot next-door that overlooks a redwood gulch area. There is ample parking, and a large outdoor patio just off of the kitchen and family room to make for the perfect flow for indoor/outdoor entertaining.The main floor also has a laundry room with washer and dryer setup, as well as a large dining area that can comfortable seat up to 10 people. A half bathroom is also available downstairs as well as a completely updated kitchen with everything you might need to cook a meal for your group.Guest accessGuests will have access to the entire home, excluding the garage where we keep our supplies, etc. There is ample parking in both the driveway and the street. The backyard is private, though, not fully fenced for those bringing furry friends.There is a 5 person hot tub on this property in perfect working order, if you are seeing this in the description, that means that the hot tub is still there, working, and being regularly maintained for your convenience.Other things to note*Cleaning fee is set to $145. Occasionally, there have been glitches in the past on the platform that set the price lower. CAUTION! For those who have ambulation issues, there’s an entire flight of stairs to access the apartment.This is a detached apartment to our 1907 Craftsman home. Located just a short (10-15 mins) walk to Old Town Eureka. We are also about a 20 minute walk to Henderson Center. We are a few blocks away from Brick and Fire, a lovely restaurant. We also have our own walking distance dive bar (Ernie's)! There is a giant shared yard, but it is still very private. There is a separate entrance to the apartment. The apartment has wraparound windows and you are able to overlord the corner and people watch. I recommend you park on C Street because 14th is quite busy. The spaceLiving room has a smart TV, loveseat, and wall heater. An air conditioner is not necessary for this corner of the world. We have what I call natural AC. There is a full kitchen with microwave, pots & pans, kitchenware, oil, spices, Brita, coffee, tea, coffee maker, and hot water kettle. Bedroom has all essentials and mattress is medium firm. So if you prefer a soft mattress, this may not be the place for you. Iron and ironing board. Bathroom has all amenities - shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hair dryer. There is a tub in the bathroom. Other things to noteOur dogs are barky when you come through the gate. We usually keep them in the house when new people come around. Ozzie, he’s not aggressive but will herd you. Meaning he will nudge your heel with his snout as he is a herding dog. Please let me know if you are uncomfortable with that. We try to keep him inside because his persistent barking is the most annoying part. He hates greetings. But if you are well-versed with guardy, herding dogs - he is a typical case. Our red heeler, Ruby, is too friendly and will jump on you because she is a poorly behaved dog with poorly behaved owners. She might come to your door for breakfast as she is used to having guest let her roam through the apartment. Don't feel obligated to let her in.
