My daughter wanted to go somewhere really special to celebrate her 30th birthday and was interested in going to Thailand. Then she saw some photos of this hotel and it’s amazing views. After reading the reviews the decision was made. We were so excited and so hoped it would live up to everything we dreamed of. We had chosen a private pool villa and it was THE most amazing room with a private pool and outside jacuzzi in a beautiful garden. We felt like we were living in a dream. The big round inside jacuzzi bath in our bathroom was huge. On her birthday I had decorated our room and the staff matched the colours with petals on the bed and two cakes. One was made from towels the other was a delicious white chocolate one! The room was behind the main beach pool so we would get a buggy up to the lounge but we always chose to walk down the big hanging bridges back to the room. The views were stunning and the bridges and stairs looked so pretty lit up at night. We both visited the spa for treatments on her birthday which were very nice. We wanted to go to an ethical elephant sanctuary whilst in Thailand and the concierge booked us to go to Samui Elephant Kingdom. This was just a short drive from the hotel and was one of the high lights of our trip. It was a wonderful experience and we would definitely recommend it. The club lounge was where we had our daily afternoon tea and evening drinks and canapés. The club staff were great they got to know us and knew my daughter liked the duck spring rolls. To her surprise they brought out two on a plate with candles in on her birthday whilst singing “happy birthday“. It’s the little things that make it perfect. I would like to thank you all for everything. I can only remember a few names, Lisa, Knowfang, Meen, Markey but you were all great. A special thank you goes to Dow. You were amazing, kind, professional, friendly and very helpful especially when the air con needed attention. I can’t thank you enough. I had wished we got to see you before we left to say it personally but it was your day off. All the staff from management to ground staff were professional, friendly, polite and always had a smile on their faces. The service was excellent. The hotel app was great. If you wanted anything you just sent a message and the response was immediate. We wanted different pillows they were there in 5 minutes. We asked for sun loungers for our garden again there in a few minutes. We had a problem with the air con and immediately the engineers came. I have never stayed anywhere with such great service. This hotel not only lived up to expectations it surpassed them. It really was like living in a dream. Thank you to all the staff for making this the perfect holiday. We will most definitely be back.

It was a perfect week spent other there. The decoration of this hotel based on the Thai boxing is exploited in every details. The room is very beautiful , have space , the bed is confortable and the view on the ocean is amazing. The location of the hotel is perfect for every tourist place and the access to the private beach is just amazing. The breakfast is very delicious and very fresh , it is changing every day and the fact that it is an « à la carte » menu is much more better than a classic buffet. The best is the staff , from the people at the swimming pool , the bar , the restaurant , the spa , the reception , the muai thaï trainer. All of them were just amazing , kind , friendly , very polite and respectful. Always would like to help us for any subject. I highly recommend this hotel if you want a relaxing time and perfect time.
The Hotel staff are very friendly especially Kuant the restaurant manager. The breakfast is very good and varies from day to day. The hotel location is ideal just far enough out of Lamai town to be relatively peaceful but close enough to walk to and from comfortably. Great view from the restaurant overlooking the small fishing boat cove. They’re going to be introducing vegan food to the menu and concentrating on the wellness centre with Yoga classes etc. We stayed 7 days and had a very enjoyable stay. Mint the reservation (GSA) was especially helpful. The first room we stayed in unfortunately, the air-conditioning fan broke and she happily moved us to another room, extremely good service with a smile. The maids cleaned the room and made the beds every day. The Hotel is a little rundown I.e. the decor needs some TLC some of the decking needs replacing which I’m sure will be done soon as it’s under new management.
I was an outside guest in the breakfast, solely. The staff named Miss Jittima, Laddawan and Kasama were wonderful. Actually, it was about a guy, a waiter who wears blue shirt that I don’t know his name, he did really hard work and sweet manners . The restaurant management and the kitchen is fantastic, especially the chef team of signature food and Thai food. The chefs were amazing and cook the food so fast. Even in the peek time of the breakfast, Breakfast Team handled orders sequentially and properly. The waitress and team provided the feelings of home to me when I was arriving at the buffet. 5 stars hotel is always busy but they were awesome and took really best care of me. I walked around and order the drinks but they remember exactly where I was sitting. I never told where I sit but they did a really great job. that’s quite impressive. They also served the beverages and food with impressive manners. Thanks for meaningful service. See you soon Sheraton👌🏻🤘🏻🤎
ゲゲストI read many reviews about this resort and studied the Mantra Samui website, but never learned until after I booked (4 nights stay) my room that they had cancelled , during Covid, the regular shuttle that took guests down the hill to Fisherman Villa. I learned this because I called the hotel before my trip to ask some questions and also ask how to reserve a place on their shuttle. The resort does have one auto/driver that will drive you down to the bottom of the hill if it is there, and if it is not picking up someone at the airport. The shuttle delivers you directly to the bottom of the hill, is pretty much is just a local road. Then you can wave down a taxi and negotiate the price. Some fun! The Mantra Sumai should update their website to say the regular shuttle has been cancelled, and replaced by their maybe available one car. Continuing my story... We booked a massage at another hotel that is about 20 minutes away, and gave ourselves one hour to get there. So the night before we reserved to get the ride down to the bottom of the hill for the next day afternoon. When we went to reception, we were informed there was an accident, which was a flat tire, and the tire 'might' be fixed in half an hour and then another 20 minutes to get back to the Mantra. They apparently felt no responsibility to contact us. Just wait for the guests to show up and then tell them. They felt no responsibility to call the driver for any update. They then offered to call a taxi, but that would take about 20 minutes to arrive. Also when you call a taxi there is no opportunity for negotiation. My hour was dwindling. Well 20 is better than maybe 30 + 20 minutes. So they called the taxi. Luckily the Mantra driver showed up after 15 minutes, and the taxi was cancelled. My conclusion, after all the interfaces with reception, is they have a poor sense of responsibility and lacking the ability for logical thinking to provide a good guest experience. There are other examples beyond the above. Our suite room was in good condition, and everything functioning. Well, except the phone did not work, but I did not need that. The suite has a king size bed and a separate built in bed in the back of the living room. OK, so 4 people can stay. But the flaw in the suites is there is only a 2 person love seat to sit on. There is no chair, and no desk. It is no fun to use your laptop when the coffee table level is below your knees. A simple 4 leg table for a desk, and a simple chair would be nice, and not cost very much. They do have an on-site co-work room somewhere, but I did not use it. I think it is an extra cost and I did not have that much work to do anyway. The highlight of the Mantra Samui was the included breakfast. There are many cooked to order choices plus a buffet of juices, fruits, cereals, yogurt, pastries, and several breads you can toast yourself. We tried every item on the breakfast menu and all were nicely done and tasty. Very good coffee and tea made to order i

ゲゲストUpon arrival we were awe struck with the organic beauty of the island which we were about to stay on.. After a short boat ride we had arrived in paradise and welcomed with warm smiles and refreshments. We were Taken to our room on our golf buggy (no motorised vechiles on the island yay). Our spacious waterfront room topped off with an infinity pool looked out over the Gulf of Thailand and was immaculately clean and serviced daily by up to 3 housekeepers at a time. We dined at Both Hue restaurant (our favourite) and also Long Dtai Both displaying fresh produce daily, some items unavailable from day to day which suited us as we knew it was all fresh 👍 The Staff Led by Urs (GM) and Patzy (Restaurant manager) were all friendly and attentive. The Day Spa exceeded our expectations with numerous treatments available to ensure you remain relaxed on your holiday Ignore the bad reviews on here about this property The place is amazing without fault!! We will be back ✌️
