Had a lovely stop over here. Nice comfortable hotel with pleasant staff. Lovely town on the doorstep. Very good breakfast( continental) with superb croissants and bread. Parking on site if early. Would recommend for an evening or weekend.

Very nice welcome. Our room was confortable with an en-suite bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and we had a good night's sleep. The breakfast was €11 each and very nice. We would definitely stay there again. Thank you.

Came across this hotel by accident after the Chambre Hotes we had booked in to proved to be of very poor standard. The Lion d'Or made us welcome and we had a clean, comfortable, quiet room plus good breakfast the following morning. A big bonus is that they have their own courtyard where you can safely park your car. Also several good restaurants are all within easy walking distance - Le Bistrot de Bernay was excellent. All in all nothing fancy, but just right for tired travellers looking for a stop-over.

After driving from Calais, we found this quaint hotel in Bernay. The hotel is undoubtedly showing its age but was ideal for an overnight stay on a budget. Room was small but clean and tidy with a tv but no hairdryer. Centrally located meant restaurants were in walking distance.

Very comfortable room, well laid out. Great bed. Hotel is in the middle of town, well placed for the surrounding historic area. Breakfast was all fresh and good, the staff were just a little uninterested, and distant. All said, a good place to stay.

Our family spent 3 nights at this wonderful hotel. Excellent restaurant/chef and wait staff. Breakfast and dinner were well worth the price and made it easy to make our early morning's tour guide rendezvous. Location is just at the end of the many charming restaurant and shops downtown and a couple blocks from the Bayuex tapestry museum and impressive Catherdral Noetre Dame Bayeux. Only caveat is if you have problem with stairs request a 1st or 2nd floor room as no elevator. The bar was relaxing with many WW2 and celebrity photos with autographs. Front desk staff were very helpful and always warming greeted us. You would think the staff are all owners as they all appreciated our business!

Devant le choix très faible à Bernay, j'ai testé cet hôtel. Personnel charmant. Beaux bâtiments. Bel emplacement dans la ville. Petit déjeuner assez basique, mais bon c'est 2 étoiles. Par contre la chambre... rideaux pas occultants, pas de volet, baignoire collée au lavabo, VMC insupportable la suite. Lieux moelleux.

Un peu vieillot, cet hôtel a une équipe de jeunes sympathiques à l'accueil et service. Chambre single sans surprise... sauf une télévision rétive à tout réglage pour obtenir les chaînes standard.. trop de technique tue la technique basique!! Le parking privé, très apprécié, à condition d'arriver tôt. Un bon repos néanmoins.
