Room was super dirty, wasn’t cleaned, bed wasn’t made and had hair and glitter, chips and and plastic knife on floor. Chips on counter. Drawers to the dresser wouldn’t close. Called front desk said they were full and would send someone to clean. About 7 hours later no one had shown up. Called again they assigned a new room.
Meh. Looks okay on the outside but don’t judge a book by it’s cover. Our first room had so many moths flying around in it we had to ask to be moved. Rooms very basic with outdated furniture. It’s weird because there are like four individual casinos inside but they are separately operated and don’t cash each others tickets. Check in desk hard to find. Very smoky. First night one out of six elevators working. Windows so dirty we could barely see through them. Pool overrun with unattended little Mexican kids. Two of our three pillows were like concrete. It is located on the River Walk, so that’s good. The staff was friendly enough, but too hard to overcome all the negative. Next we stay at Harrah’s for sure.
Make sure to get a copy of your reservation confirmation with the dates and the total on the prices. They charged me for days I wasn’t there due to their system mistake. No additional compensation was given for their overcharge and the hassles of having it removed and the insult of being over charged in the first place due to thwir system error though they did remove the extra days (I informed the employee handling it I have screen shots of original reservation info). The internet is terrible either kicks you off randomly even when you are in your room. I was glad they had refrigerators in the rooms but you have to have a light switch a certain way so they would stay on and no one told us about it. Over all would not stay again. The Salt grass restaurant food was very good and is the only reason I would return.
