チャッツワース ハウス ホテル(Chatsworth House Hotel)

I am writing this review on behalf of my 85 year old mum who has stayed at this hotel for a number of years via Ogden's holiday travel. On arrival and following conversations with guests already staying there, apparently the hotel has had a change of management. My mum was travelling on her own and at meal times was made to sit with other people who she obviously didn't know. Due to the people she was sat with coming down later than her everyday, she had to wait for them to come down before the waiters would serve her. She did ask several times but was ignored and told she would have to wait for the rest of her party to come down. But they weren't the rest of her party, she was on her own! This was just one of a number of things that were noticed, on how the hotel has changed from how it was. For clarity, my mum was talking to several other guests who have said they won't be returning after many years at the hotel.

Radiator not working,given heater to try and warm room, breakfast is good, have to order evening meal at breakfast time not many choices pudding dishes not the best, couldn't swing a cat in the bathroom weekend entertainment shocking won't be going again

Recently stayed for 4 nights hotel lovely and very clean all staff were friendly ( reception. restaurant. housekeeping. julie and all the bar staff) can I extend a special thank you to Alison Theresa and Chris for all your help would recommend this hotel to anyone

The worst hotel we have ever stayed in. The rooms are 1970s decorated. Single glazed windows that do not close fully. The radiator thermostat did not work. The bathroom was not nice at all. The pool area is unmanned leaving a free for all overcrowded pool. We did not pay the extra £10 for breakfast as we had paid £214 for two nights in a twin room I felt the extra £10 each was daylight robbery. We have stayed in over 30 different hotels and b&bs in llandudno. This is definitely the worst for value for money and accomodation comfort. Steer clear of this place its not what is advertised.

Went with a friend on a coach trip. Our room was a twin was lovely and clean but the windows are hard to open and ours was stuck with a piece of wood holding it up. The breakfast was fine. Self service with choice of cereals, full breakfast, fruit and porridge. Toast was brought round on toast racks and you could get more. Black pudding was very hard to cut needed a saw but other that that rest was ok. You ordered dinner in a morning on a piece of paper . Starters usually consisted of soup some fish or spring rolls and apple juice. However the choice of mains were bit repetitive was a different roast every day and was sliced cooked meats and very soggy vegetables. The potatoes were always 2 new potatoes and one roast potato or 2 roast potatoes. Not much choice. Had beef one night with a very flat frozen Yorkshire. Was always choice of a fish dish also mainly served with the new potatoes and soggy vegetables. A vegetarian disc which depended on which member of staff you ask was different as no one really knew. Then a salad which was sadly packet rocket lettuce and a little bit of mixture of onion tomatoes and if lucky got cucumber piece served with 2 new potatoes. Lot of people didn’t go back for tea after 2nd night. My suggestion would be either to do self service or maybe vary it and stop using tinned, processed and frozen food. Surely be cheaper to buy a real lettuce and maybe a cucumber. The pool the steps are not secure and are quite dangerous. I was going down them and they actually lifted and turned me and I fell into the pool from the top step. Some ladies actually told me me later that they had to ask for the steps when they went as they had been removed. These need looking at

WAS VERY PLEASED TO BE GIVEN A SEA VIEW ROOM. It was spacious, having a double and single bed, plenty of storage, and a modern bathroom(although my husband had to re-atatch the shower to the wall as it was hanging loose.) Having said that the rooms were spotless. We even had a pet seagull which tapped on the window to be fed, which it had obviously done on numerous occasions. We called him Steven. (as in Steven Segal) Couldnt fault the entertainment, and the bingo was always worth a go. Breakfast was outstanding as it was self service. There was plenty of cereals, fruit and juices, and a multitude of hot choices. Tea and coffee, and a rack of almost toast was set on table. Could not fault breakfast, unfortunately evening meal was a car crash. Starters were hit and miss, deserts were usually ok, but the dinner?? First night there was 4 on our table, only one got potatoes so I managed to speak to the waiter and told him we had no potatoes. He appologised and disappeared. When he came back twenty five minutes later for desert orders I asked where were the potatoes were and he just looked totally blank. Tere must of been half a pound of boiled for an hour carrots, must of been a trend as the next night we had hour boild turnip, enough on each plate for at least two very soggy portions. Still the lady with the salad got some extra protein, a rather unwelcome snail which was whisked away by an ex-olympic athlete at great speed. Couldnt help notice several people didnt come back for the evening meal. Very reluctant to return, shame really as the staff are lovely, just the cook needs to up his game.

Came here for a swim with the family. The pool was a little cold, and the changing rooms had no benches to sit on while you got ready for the pool as there were no changing rooms. Also, there is no changing mat for the little ones. If there were everything there we would come again.

A great location on Llandudno promenade. We weren’t allocated a room at the front with a sea view unfortunately. However the room we stayed in was warm and clean. And the beds were very comfortable. Although the hotel decoration is a little tired we thought the swimming pool looked great and we regretted not bringing our swimming costumes. Food not wonderful but there was a good breakfast selection and the serving staff were efficient and pleasant. The bar offered half price drinks between 6 and 10 pm . If bingo and singing aren’t your thing there were plenty of small areas off the main lounge where it was possible to enjoy a drink and sea view. Very close to the town centre and Llandudno offers a great range of independent shops in addition to some stunning scenery against the backdrop of the Great Orme. We would be happy to stay here again.

The view and location of hotel was outstanding. The kitchen and bar staff bent over backwards to help, were chatty and pleasant. Food was great and good value for money for what we paid. Rooms could have done with hoovering a little better but house keeping was generally good. Would go again but make sure to book a bedroom with sea view if possible as it's worth the supliment.
