We loved our 2 week holiday to the fabulous ‘Hotel Don Diego’. The setting is stunning, staff are welcoming, friendly and go beyond expectations. Rooms were charmingly ‘quirky’, spotlessly clean and comfortable. Food was amazing - both breakfast and evening meals. Great variety using fresh products. The kayaks were great to have available and the powerboat (bookable via reception)- with a 4 hour hire we did Tavolara, Molara (stopped for a snorkel in the natural pool which was phenomenal) and along the coast to Brandinchi and finished with a swim at LaCinta. We enjoyed having a hire car to do a bit of visiting of the area. We were sad to leave and will certainly be back!

the hotel is very charming with a rustic vibe. the aircon in the rooms worked well and the wifi is good. the beds were slightly uncomfortable- especially the pillows. the pool area was nice. the free use of usp and pedalos is a nice touch. the beach itself is not so nice. the breakfast was quite nice and the pastries were fresh as well as fresh orange juice. the dinner in the restaurant was also very good.

The hotel is set in a beautiful location, with a private beach, great pool area and attentive and friendly staff. There are some things I would change to make it a full 5/5 which are totally adjustable by the hotel management.

This hotel is beautiful, the amenities and nearby beaches were convenient. And the view is jaw dropping . However the biggest downside are the rooms . We had a junior suite overlooking tavolera but despite being a 4 star hotel the bed was very uncomfortable, you can legit feel the bed springs. The room was so outdated. Felt like an 80’s hostel. Was not expecting this given what we payed for and the rest of the hotels amenities really don’t show this at all. The breakfast was delicious and dinner was just ok. Staff where however beyond curtious and friendly.

Stayed 4 nights. Wish we could have stayed longer. We loved the beach and pool area. Friendly staff. Very good breakfast. Our room was spacious and comfortable (502) with great views of the water. Great drinks from the bar. Nice gym facility. Great areas to explore nearby like San Teodoro city and some great Agriturismo restaurants. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

We stayed in a standard room which was ok but could have done with some more storage space for clothing. The location is stunning with a nice pool (salt water) and a lovely private sandy beach with beautiful clear sea. What really impressed us about the hotel was the wonderful service we received from all the staff.Reception were charming and very helpful. We thought that the restaurant and bar staff were both very professional but also very engaging.Martina in particular was a huge credit to the hotel. The location does require a hire car if you want to get out and about.It is not possible to walk to nearby restaurants although the hotel does run a shuttle service for a small charge. The food in the restaurant reflected the local style and was very good without being exceptional. All in all a very enjoyable stay.
