Comfortable beds - slept like a baby! Beautiful rooms!! Exceptionally clean!!! Breathtaking views!!!! The wonderful staff really made us feel at home!!!!! Truly enjoyed our stay!!!!!! I can't wait to go back and enjoy the comforts if home in the beauty if nature :) ＜3

I originally chose Barefoot Hills for its location relative the start / end of a race I was doing in the mountains. The images / description on the site seemed nice enough, but when I pulled into the lot, I was immediately blown away. The surroundings were serene and the hotel immaculate. The staff was friendly and attentive. I highly recommend visiting for a long weekend or longer if you can.

Be careful about booking here. This is nothing like a hotel or even a motel. It's a recently built complex of 5 or 6 units, far out of town and with few amenities. When we arrived there was no staff on the premises and we had to make several phone calls to get a code for our room. Everything was a struggle. The view is beautiful.

We had a wonderful experience! We stayed in a log cabin which was so cute and had everything we could have needed. The grounds of the resort are beautiful…hearing nature all around you! The employees were also very friendly. My husband and I would be delighted to stay there again!

Amazing, Could not be better! Stay in the hiker hostel. Staff was amazing. Beautiful view and property. Will be back! Came off the AT Trail. Great staff, showers and laundry. Met other guest and enjoyed time around the fire. Had a great selection of beer, snacks and supplies.

Beautiful, cozy little cabin and just as described. Quaint setting. Will definitely stay again when in the area. Easy check in and out process. Excellent communication regarding checking in after office hours. Quick to respond. ……………..

Such a wonderful property! Hidden Gem! You can stay in a room, small cabin, large cabin or a container. All very nice. The room we stayed in was clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. So glad we picked this place. Very reasonably priced. Mary Ellen was so sweet and accommodating. She recommended a wonderful restaurant ( Spirits Tavern) in Dahlonega and it didn't disappoint. Can't wait to go back!

Barefoot Hills Staff (owners) I had an amazing time supporting my kiddos (wrestling state dual tournament at Lumpkin County HS) and having a nice & quiet place to “camp out” that was nearby!!! My husband and I stayed 2 nights at Barefoot Hills. We were in the area looking at properties to buy. The young man who I spoked to on the phone was very helpful with making our reservation. He was also very knowledgeable about the area. We traveled with our 2 dogs and we were so pleased that they allowed pets. The property at Barefoot Hills is very clean and has a great view. Our stay was very peaceful and just what we needed. I look forward to visiting there again.
