アードタラカントリーハウス(Ardtara Country House)

We've stayed in several beautiful country house hotels and manor houses in Ireland's Blue Book but had overlooked Ardtara because located only 45 miles from Belfast, we thought we wouldn't feel we'd gone away. What a mistake! From the moment we arrived, and were warmly greeted by Sean, our short but blissful stay had begun. The house, full of local history, is beautifully furnished, the food is amazing and the woodland and gardens delightful to amble through. Ardtara is a real getaway experience and on our doorstep.

Wonderful experience. Friendly, welcoming staff, beautiful building tastefully decorated. Spacious accessible bedroom with a working gas fireplace. We stayed one night and both the evening meal and breakfast were great. We were helped feel at ease by the staff and encouraged to relax and enjoy our time. Will return.

Our overnight stay at the Ardtara Country House Hotel was a delightful escape. The food was delicious, showcasing local flavours with finesse. The staff were incredibly friendly, making us feel welcome from check-in to check-out. A big thank you to Sean, Pedro (the best *****ni's ever!) and to Leanne for making us feel so welcome and for such incredible service. A cosy retreat for those craving good food and genuine hospitality.

From the moment we arrived and the friendly welcome from Sean to the moment we left, we loved every aspect of our stay. The house and room were beautiful and the food outstanding. Sean, Pedro and Leanne were so attentive and professional which added to the enjoyment of the trip. We had booked one night but stayed two and we look forward to returning. Couldn't recommend more highly.

We had our first visit to Ardtara House on Friday 26th April. You could hardly get a bigger welcome as the one we got from Nicola. We had a lovely room and had a beautiful meal later that evening. Every step of the way, the staff were superb, friendly, knowledgeable and above all, welcoming. Well done to everyone at Ardtara, we hope to see you all again.

Thank you for another lovely mid-week stay in Ardtara. The food was excellent as usual, the bed beyond comfortable and the staff so courteous and helpful, all of which contributed to making our stay an absolute pleasure. We hope to return soon.

A friendly welcome and lovely bright fires everywhere ensured a real sense of warmth in this lovely old house. Manager Sean and his staff were uniformly helpful. Being on my own, I appreciated their considerate seating arrangements for me in the dining room. Lovely, spacious bedroom with a comfortable bed and an extensive view from 3 windows. The fireplace incorporated a gas fire which could be switched on at need - though this was never necessary in terms of temperature. Lovely ensuite and excellent tea/coffee making facilities. Storage seemed to be limited with no drawer or shelf accommodation for clothes other than wardrobe hangers. This could pose a problem for a longer stay.

The manager and his staff were extremely welcoming and helpful throughout our visit - nothing was a problem for the them. Our bedroom was tastefully decorated with luxury amenities. Dinner menu excellent with good variety of choice and prompt and knowledgeable service. Breakfast also excellent with good local produce on offer.

Warm friendly welcome. Food was fabulous with great service. The house itself is clean, comfortable and very relaxing. Lovely place for a break, we keep going back!
