NRMA ケアンズ ホリデイ パーク(Nrma Cairns Holiday Park)

This campsite is closest to the city. Probably therefore, it is a very busy site with not a lot of space between the campsites, although it is not too bad at all. Unfortunately, we were put on a spot that is probably the roughest in the campground; uneven, triangle shaped, with the water hookup quite far out and poor wifi reception. It was however quite photogenic since a huge true was hanging over it. Campground's got nice amenities and a nice pool but just 6 poolbeds to go around, which are of course continuously in use. Don't get me wrong; we did have a nice stay but were just unlucky with the site I guess. It was a 30 to 40 minute walk from there to the downtown Cairns-area.

I stayed in a lodge for a few nights. What I liked: - Reception staff are friendly & helpful - Bed was comfortable - Easy to get to Cairns by bus (if one doesn’t have a car) What I liked less: - I arrived at midnight and there was no one to check me in. The keys had been left in a safe box and were easy to find. However, it was challenging to find the lodge in this huge holiday park at night when all lights had been turned off. I was travelling solo and it wasn’t great! Also, I bumped into someone who looked quite rough that evening. He was wearing torn clothes & seemed intoxicated. He didn’t look like a guest. - It’s a bit edgy. The taxi drivers were constantly telling me to be careful in this neighborhood, especially at night.

We stayed for a few weeks. Great park and not too big so it's nice and quiet. The amenities are well kept and plentiful. Nice pool with lots of toys to use and great camp kitchen area. The staff are friendly and accommodating, we have no complaints.

Whilst Reception was good, the cleanliness of the facilities left me wishing I had not booked a campsite for 3 nights. The camp kitchen was dirty: tables had a grooved metal surface making it impossible to thoroughly clean one. The floor was not cleaned on a daily basis. A large number of condiments were left, some of which past expiry date. The fridges were adequate in number, but nothing was marked. This creates a source of out of date and mouldy food. Rubbish bins were open, making an unpleasant source of flies. The dish washing area was small and inadequate for the number of campers. A very disappointing place.

Booked 4 nights, when I arrived and saw the closet with a bed and no ensuite which I thought I had booked. Advised the staff I couldn't stay in it. Had to cancel and find other accomodation. No refund, charged $369. Pretty poor, Nicole added 'Happy travels and Tropical wishes'. Sarcasm at its best!

Good budget option for short stays in Cairns. Accommodations are individual small cabins at an (RV) camp site. The cabin interior was comfortable, clean and quiet, A/C quiet and working well. Main drawback was having to walk to the public washrooms/bathrooms which were almost a minute's walk away, but that's reflected in the price. Laundry facilities on site, Reception staff was friendly and helpful. Need a vehicle to get to places.

It was a clean and quiet accommodation, and the bathroom was outside, but it was always clean and dry, so walking out didn't bother me that much :) The kitchen is just a huge barbecue place, so you have to bring your own utensils!

I found lack of water in the unit quite odd. Not even a jug in the fridge. Luckily I had water bottles with me to fill for use in kettle, personal hydration, etc.
