Holiday Inn Club Vacations Fox River Resort at Sheridan

The room worked great for our family of 5. The added cost for the water park should be more clearly advertised. I was not expecting to pay an additional $99, I thought it was part of the resort fee, so just be aware of that. The water park itself was extremely loud and crowded, with people shoving others in the lazy river. The hotel and grounds were nice, but we came for the water park stay so just set expectations accordingly. Check out is at 10 which is earlier than most hotels. The coffee in the room is terrible and you have to drive to get to anything so maybe bring your own (there is a coffee pot).

Area very quiet. We were only spending two nights so did not want to spend time cooking,having no food in premises, was a bummer.Needed to drive out for meals. Only food available was in water park which was available after 12 pm

Sadly, this property is declining. We’ve stayed here several times and always enjoyed it, but this last trip was a bit disappointing. Upon check-in we were told the on-property grill was closed indefinitely. There is no food on resort. The horses are gone and the old stable area is filled with junk. It looks terrible. The water park was also closed too. We stayed in the Presidential Suite, so the most expensive rooms on property. The furniture in the rooms was beat up and dirty, kitchen supplies were in need of replacing, missing screens on windows, bathroom doors won’t lock. The indoor pool was packed with people not staying at the property, not kidding, at least 100 people. I really like this property and I hope they can turn things around, it’s a nice getaway away from the busy Chicago suburbs.

No dining. Nowhere to even get water. Water park wasn’t functional. I felt unsafe and definitely not worth the money I paid. Need a refund.

Travel with spouse and kids The rooms was good I had no complaints, they are slightly out dated but I think that’s the look they are going for they like to keep the history in the property. The water park was nice, it is a great place for toddlers and grade school kids. It is a nice quiet get away and the staff was nice polite and very helpful.

Wack and waste of money , came for the waterpark and it was boring and expensive didnt even have a pool💀 and they charge per day , it should be included with your stay in my opinion considering its boring and doesnt offer a lot , also stayed in a villa and the bathrooms were dirty couldn't even enjoy the jacuzzi because the hot water doesn't last and the tub wasn't as clean🤢 will not be coming back ✋

Nothing special, older property, Much to our disappointment the water park is geared towards small children and the hot tubs are not available off season-both were main selling points for us. Lunch counter served me raw food-I brought it to their attention and they made me another meal. I did not appreciate the 3 phone calls I received just after 0900 from the corporate office and front desk trying to sell me a time share and schedule my day. I think the check out time is probably the earliest of any hotel I have stayed at in my life. No night life. Believe me when I say you are very far from civilization. You cannot walk anywhere, there are no public transportation or ride share options. Very limited area for food and entertainment. The activities and food options on the grounds close down very early as well.

A hidden gem! We booked combined suites for my daughter’s birthday sleepover. We had a blast and there is plenty to do!

Loved that our room was fully furnished/stocked kitchen, all you needed to bring was food and drinks! The restaurant was was clean and the food was delish!
