ランティカ コンチェリア(L'Antica Conceria)

This is a B&B type hotel located at the top of the town which is approximately a 12-15 minute walk from the centre up a hill. The property is located on a reasonably steep slope so may not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues. We booked the Fire (Cave) Room which was located in the old tannery. The only window in the bedroom to the exterior was a small window at the rear of the room near the ceiling. The property has been tastefully renovated and the room was spacious and decorated to a high standard. The bed was very comfortable and the soft furnishings were high quality. The bathroom was on the smaller side but had nice fittings and good shower with plenty of hot water. The only negative was the door to the adjoining room which wasn’t very soundproof so we could hear noise from the guests staying in that room. The host of the property is extremely helpful and charming. He provides a lot of information about the town and property itself. Breakfast was fairly standard Italian style with a choice of cake, croissants, cereal, yoghurt, coffee and juice. As we had to leave early the owner was kind enough to provide a bag of cereal and milk for us to have breakfast in our room before departing. We chose this property as we were on a cycling tour and there was a courtyard where we were able to store our bikes. Apart from the bikes we also had to arrange for luggage transfers and the property were extremely helpful in assisting us with this. We would definitely recommend staying here.

Our stay at L’Antica Conceria was outstanding! Our host Martino went above and beyond assisting us with planning our time in Matera, all while using Google translate as his English was limited. It worked beautifully! He also called and made a reservation for us at a restaurant in Matera, which was so thoughtful. He is such a kind and lovely person, he felt like a friend. And speaking of beautiful, the accommodations were beautiful in every way - tastefully decorated, comfortable, quiet, super clean, lovely view from the terrace just outside our room where we sat and enjoyed a cappuccino prepared by Martino. The breakfast was bountiful with many choices to make anyone happy. The location was perfect, outside the busy centre but just a ten minute walk through a quiet street and we were in Matera’s historical centre. Parking was also easy, Martino met us at the parking location and walked with us back to the guesthouse - maybe three minutes at most. If we ever return to Matera, we would absolutely stay with Martino again!

The room, the location and Martino were beyond fantastic. Each morning started with a delicious breakfast with local products. Then Martino would suggest a walk for the day-all were spot on. The walking is endless, and returning to my comfortable room and deep soaking tub were a luxurious way to end the day. Thanks, Martino-you are the best!!

Matera is a magical city to visit and our stay was made even better by our gracious host Martino who told us everything we needed to know and made our sightseeing and restaurant visits remarkable The room was absolutely fabulous, the bed very comfortable and the WiFi and Ac was really good. Good coffee and a very good breakfast too. Everything so clean and well kept. Easy walk to the sights and city so it was a perfect place to stay. I’m coming back, both to the city who stole a bit of my heart and I’ll stay here again for sure

De très belles prestations dans un hébergement de très bonne qualité idéalement situé. Mention particulière au très bon accueil de l'hôte tel un véritable guide touristique, qui a pris beaucoup de temps à expliquer sur une carte les visites à réaliser dans cette ville magnifique. Merci à lui car nous aurions très certainement loupé des pépites si nous n'avions pas eu ses précieux conseils

Siamo stati in questa struttura due notti per visitare Matera. La struttura è nuova e molto bella, vicino al centro ma appena fuori dalla ztl, parcheggio vicino anche coperto se pur non della struttura. Martino il proprietario è una persona splendida che ti accoglie dandoti tutte le migliori informazioni. La colazione in struttura è un valore aggiunto con prodotti freschi da forno. La camera e il bagno belli e spaziosi. Consiglio vivamente

Camere speciali, curate nei minimi particolari e pulitissime. B&B vicino al centro storico con una meravigliosa vista sul parco delle Murge. Colazione completa e varia, con anche la focaccia comprata fresca ogni mattina. Un grazie particolare a Martino, ci ha dato preziosi suggerimenti per una perfetta visita di Matera

Abbiamo alloggiato nella struttura solo una notte ma siamo stati sin da subito coccolati dal host Martino che ha dato informazioni a livello storico sulla struttura, donando un grande fascino al luogo e ci ha fornito sin da subito l'itinerario da seguire per goderci al meglio la città . La vista è davvero unica nel suo genere e davvero suggestiva. Un soggiorno breve ma davvero gradevole

Abbiamo soggiornato all’Antica Conceria per una sola notte (purtroppo) e ci siamo trovati benissimo. La camera era splendida, spaziosa, pulita e confortevole, dotata anche di una bellissima vasca idromassaggio e di una fantastica vista sul parco della Murgia Materana. La colazione era abbondante e varia, con prodotti freschi e di qualità. Il proprietario, Martino, è una persona squisita, gentile e disponibile, che ci ha dato degli ottimi consigli su cosa visitare e dove mangiare. Il b&b si trova in una zona perfetta per raggiungere il centro a piedi. Lo consigliamo vivamente a chi cerca un soggiorno di qualità. Noi, senza alcun dubbio, ci torneremo!
