Beautiful hotel. It’s just a shame the service was not great. Would recommend other hotel in le morne over this

Definition of today’s luxury is not only great food, great rooms, great addons such as golf course, pools, gym etc. Today’s luxury is all about personalized customer experience. This is what you will get at the Heritage Telfair, thanks to Dominique Grel’s team.

Dream place for golfers, food and hospitality and everything is so dreamy, golf courses are in wonderful condition. I specially want to thank to Domini the maid, room was always tidy with a smiling face bonus, Naresh the waiter, always ready with morning coffee my cup was always full, Shalin and Anjelique the best omlettes and eggs with smiling face always always And Mr Noor was a perfect problem solver, responsive, positive personality taking care of us during our stay, generally personel was above expectations

We stayed just after new years for our honeymoon from 3rd -10th of Jan and had a Beach front junior suite. I am 40 and my wife is 33. No kids ( I haven’t mentioned kids in the review, but it is kid friendly. However, as a couple you will not have any issues with kids running around etc). This was our second time at Le Telfair having stayed there in 2018 on our first holiday together. It was the best holiday we had ever been on and were happy that when we returned this time, there were some familiar faces (I’ll get to that later!). We were nervous that having had such a great time 5 years ago, it would disappoint this time, but I’m happy to say once again Le Telfair exceeded our expectations at every turn. We had an amazing time and I could not recommend this resort strongly enough and we will certainly be back at some point on the future. Having used this website many times to try and suss out where to stay I will now try and return the favour with a review that has the kind of info that I always want! Rooms: The first time we came we booked a beachfront room (not a suite) but when we got there it was unavailable so we were upgraded to Garden view senior suite. It was amazing and the best room I have ever stayed in by a country mile. This time we had a beach front junior suite. This room was every bit as good as it looks on the website. We were in room 101 which is on the beach but slightly set back which was nice as people aren’t constantly walking past you. You have your own terrace with chairs, private mini beach with sun loungers and it’s about five seconds to the sea. The bed is HUGE and I loved the mattress (I like firm ones so it was perfect for me. The missus likes soft ones so I don’t think she liked it as much but she still said she had good sleeps). The pillows are excellent and they provide a range or soft/firm ones so you’re all good whatever your preference. The bedding is super high quality. There is an outdoor shower which is divine at night as well as a gorgeous bathroom which is really spacious. The room has a fully stocked mini bar including full bottle of whisky and rum if you’re feeling it! The bar gets stocked everyday. The housekeeping staff are lovely and could not be more helpful and attentive if they tried. Our beds were always remade everyday and fresh water provided. Beach: No surprise but the beach is stunning. We haven’t stayed anywhere else in Mauritius so I don’t have a frame of reference, but of course the sand is white and the water turquoise and clear so what more could you want! As we were staying in the height of summer it was 30 degrees everyday and so the water was like getting into a bath. We lounged in it and never got cold. One night I just sat in the ocean watching the sun go down for about 40 mins and could not have been more comfortable. There is a current, but the beach is shallow for well over 200 metres out so you’re not going to have any problems! Restaurants: There are five places

Great resort they really looked after us well everyone was very helpful and friendly in particular Ashni who fixed everything for us from arranging trips to booking the restaurant. Attention to detail was excellent even letting us use the facilities after we checked out

Our long weekend at the Heritage Le Telfair was a very enjoyable and relaxed getaway. We enjoyed the excellent facilities and general friendliness of all the staff. We will (and have already) recommend it to our friends and family. Thank you!

This was our third visit to the Heritage Le Telfair. We are pleased to say that we were not disappointed. Under the leadership of Mr Dominique Grel (who makes himself very visible and approachable) the very high standard of service, hospitality, facilities, golf and restaurant options has been maintained. Special mentions to; our superb host as always, Ashniii who looked after as very well as always, thank-you. And to Pricilla whose smiling face welcomes us back every time around the pool. We did comment to Mr Grel a personal observation that the restaurants menu options were leaning more towards Asian, Indian and more spicy options, away from more balanced options that included European cuisine. Awali, the sister hotel has closed its Italian restaurant which disappointed us. We also voiced concerns regarding the intent to make the smaller heated pool “Adult only” later this year when at present families with children use this pool for obvious reasons, it is heated. This pool also does not have the sun as much. The result of this move will be to move families to the larger unheated main pool where currently, from our experience adult guests dominate. This is a personal observation. Finally, although we have mentioned two members of the staff in particular, a very special thank you to all the staff for making our visit so enjoyable yet again!

Wonderful hotel in beautiful grounds. Staff were amazing and always willing to help - especially our customer service host Noor. We’d have given 5 stars but there were a few minor things that need putting right but once these were pointed out they were rectified to our satisfaction. The staff were always smiling & happy to engage so it was a shame to see some guests rude & arrogant towards them. Our host pre-booked all our dinner reservations for us and in the main they were excellent. There’s a huge number of restaurants between Le Telfair & its sister hotel the Alwali. We went to a different restaurant every night & still didn’t get to them all. Some places were much better than others.

Visited on 1st to 2nd May! Was really short but was so nice, Food was really nice, Room also was good, We took the Garden view which was very nice and quiet environment.A big Thanks to Mr Melvin who represented us from the hotel…………………………………..

We experienced a week of refinement, top service, great food in an idyllic location. The hotel staff ensured our experience within the hotel and the excursions were unforgettable. The two golf courses are beautiful, challenging and perfectly maintained.

The setting, the architecture, the staff, the food - what a stunning experience. We spend 10 days in a junior beach front suite and loved every second of it. Our maid, Mendini was ever present with a smile, and kept our room impeccable. We were lucky enough to have Ashni on hand as our host, and her professionalism and efficiency enabled us to have the very best experience. If there was any small hitch, Ashni was on hand to fix it and to offer us solutions. We loved the Cavendish bar, with it's colonial style grandeur, and the relaxed vibe and great food at the C Beach bar restaurant was perfect. Breakfast at Annabellas was a daily treat. We were disappointed by the food and service at Le Palmier, but they seemed to be struggling with staffing - hopefully this will improve. The very best food is at Chateau Bel Ombre - if you can, then treat yourself, it is so worth it! One comment about the wine in the restaurants - in general we found the prices of wine to be exorbitantly expensive. However, it is worth noting that there is the option to take your own wine to dinner (for a corkage charge}, so if you enjoy fine wine, it is well worth a trip out to a wine store. Overall, we had a magical stay, were made to feel very special by all the staff, and couldn't recommend the hotel enough. Thank you to all the team.

This was our first time to Heritage Le Telfair and Mauritius, we stayed here for 7 nights, and was made to feel very welcome, Sharmine was our host, she was extremely helpful and friendly, from sorting our restaurants reservations to recommending where to visit on the island. Breakfast was good at Annabella's, plenty of choice and friendly staff. We ate at most of the restaurants and the food was very good. We stayed in a deluxe sea view suite, on a half board basis, the room was very spacious and clean, free bottled water was provided daily. My wife got a bottle of champagne for her birthday, which was a nice touch. The hotel complex is huge, with nice walks all around it, many activities to do on site. We had a hire car for our duration, there is plenty of free parking on site, we found the hotel a good base to explore the island. There is a medical centre on site. We were able to use the shower facilities after checkout before leaving for our evening flight. Would recommend staying here when visiting Mauritius.
