Good location. Not the cleanest room but they came and cleaned agin. And it was better.
There was a smell in the adjoining hall that smelled like sewer? Didn’t ask what it was.
We had to ask for our room to bed made up if we wanted that done or anything else that needed to be done. Clean glassware, conditioner etc that we needed which was annoying. If you book with a 3 party the kind of room you booked is not guaranteed. We had asked for a king size room. When we got here. We were told they didn’t have any. They sent us to an unmade room with two queen beds and we went back and were told oh yes, there was a king and we could have it not sure what that was all about, as far as the conditions of the hotel, they’re great but it’s just the constant having to ask for everything that was so annoying. Oh also, if you book with a third-party, you don’t get any of your Bonvoy points
We stayed at this hotel specifically for its kitchen since we would be in the Phoenix area for weeks. Overall the hotel is okay but we left for a different, long-term hotel after a week here because it was not conducive to working from the room or working out. Positives: - Front desk and breakfast staff. Very friendly and helpful. - 1 BR room was spacious. There is a small table for eating (or work) and another workdesk with lots of outlets but no USB ports. - Location is convenient to major highways and safe to walk around at night. Negatives: - In the room, there are no USB ports, only outlets, and several of ours did not work. - Internet is slow, and when we tried to watch Showtime on the tv, the show literally stopped to buffer every 3 minutes. A/C is very noisy, as is the ice-maker in the fridge. - They have laundry facilities on the 2nd floor of each building. These rooms are clearly not cleaned. One of the dryers in our building did not work, which we learned the hard way. - Fitness center was really disappointing and it makes sense that they don't advertise it on their website. Very small, with 2 treadmills and an elliptical. One treadmill broken the entire week we were there. They don't supply towels and you have to request water at the front desk--there is none in or around the gym. There are no weights, only 4 kettlebells that max out at 20 lbs. There is a pulley weight machine with low weights and only 2 types of handles, so we really couldn't use it. The room was never cleaned. The wipes were dried out. There is a sign on the door to wash your hands before and after use, and the bathroom across the hall has a sign that it is locked. So...yeah. - The other complaint is housekeeping. We didn't need or want daily housekeeping so we followed the front desk's instructions to place the ”do not disturb” sign on the door when we didn't want housekeeping, otherwise they would clean. On Day 3, we signaled that we wanted cleaning but they skipped our room. By the time we got home, the cleaning staff was going home. They did bring us fresh towels and dish soap as requested. When they came the following day, they very clearly didn't clean the toilet...
I stayed at this hotel for three nights while on business. This hotel has to have one of the nicest staffs I’ve encountered over the last 17 years of traveling for business and pleasure. Every member of the housekeeping staff I encountered gave a “Good Morning” “Hello” “Hi!”. And it felt genuine, not forced. The front desk staff was also very friendly. One of the days I stopped by to get a water and snack from the market. The GM was helming the desk. When I gave him my room number to charge the two items to, he saw I was a lifetime Titanium Bonvoy member and said the items were on the hotel. Small but appreciative gesture for my loyalty. I’ll stay here again the next time I’m in the area.
NNicholas MThe hotel rooms are comfortable and clean. I felt safe from the second I stepped into the hotel. But the thing that really made this a 5 star experience was the customer service. The staff here are so friend and accommodating. They go above and beyond to make sure you get the best experience possible.
Jjessicav1228azAt first look this hotel seems great and it's not bad there were just a few things that were unpleasant. It is in a quiet neighborhood, kind of tucked back. When we first pulled in, there was another guest pulling in behind us and he sped past us at least 45 mph, jumping the speed bumps, laughing hanging out of his window. I go into the office to check in there's no one at the desk but I hear a Ja Rule song blasting from the back so I call out ”hello” a few times. Then a young man comes to the front after 5 or so minutes, I check in, and he explains all of the rules to me. We pull to a spot closer to our room, which is on the backside of the building. There isn't parking on the backside of the building so you can't park next to your room if it's on that side. We have to park in the front and walk around, unfortunately the only walkway to get there was through the smoking area. I don't smoke, neither does my husband and we had our children with us. There were some shady looking men always hanging out in the smoking area so we constantly had to walk past them. The room was nice and the bed was very comfortable. AC worked great and the shower was nice and hot. We had the king bed with sleeper sofa, there were no sheets, blankets or pillows for the sleeper sofa. So I went to the office to get sheets and pillows for it, there was a sign on the counter that said 'back in a few minutes'. I saw the front desk clerk through the window in the door, he was about 20 feet away talking to a man. He saw me, I waved even so he would know I am waiting on him, he continued to stand there and talk. I waited almost 15 minutes and I looked down the way again like maybe he's on his way back now, nope he picked up a bag of laundry and started walking further down the sidewalk. I was fed up waiting so I gave up, went back to my room and split up my sheets and pillows for the kids to use. One real complaint is when I woke up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, I turned on the light and TWO ROACHES!! I killed them, it was disgusting. I would have went to the office and complained but who knows if that guy would even be in there and how long I would have to wait. Not sure if we would stay here again, like it wasn't bad, we made due. The reason we were even staying here is because our youngest son is in the NICU in the hospital right down the street and it was close and convenient to the hospital to be able to visit him.
Oh boy, where to start? I booked this ”motel” on ******* a few months before my husband and I were due to travel to Mesa, AZ for the Atomic Monster Weekend Convention (lol) for my husband's birthday. Didn't want to spend an arm and a leg so we booked a motel, which served us decently in the past when we traveled to Idaho and around Nevada but holy hell was this place on another level. We roll up on the day of check-in well within the window of proper check-in time (3:00pm - 10:00pm was the check in window; we arrived around 4:00pm) after driving 5 hours to get there and the first thing we see is a ”lady” with no pants on and (hopefully) flesh colored underwear, standing outside of her room, leaning up against the door jam with the door hanging open smoking a cigarette. Always a stellar sign. Any who, we walk up to the lobby door and pull on the door handle. It's locked. Huh? We've never stayed at a place with a locked lobby. Weird; must mean there's a lot of crime in the area. Another great sign. We notice there's a doorbell so we ring it. It takes about a minute or two for some guy to come up to the window next to the front door al la gas station style and demand we tell him why we're there. What do we look like, cops? Is this a motel? What gives? How many red flags is that? I tell him that we have a reservation via Expedia.com for two nights and are there to check in. He demands to see our I.D.'s. We push them through the opening in the window and he finally lets us in the lobby. Upon entering, he confirms our last names and informs us that our booking was cancelled. I tell him I didn't cancel it and he states that his manager cancelled the booking. I asked him why. Turns out, these clowns tried to charge my card before I even showed up, which was in direct violation of Expedia's policies. I found out later, after I had a chance to check my email after this whole debacle that they had tried to charge my card around noon and cancelled the booking at 1:37pm. It stated in my confirmation email that the money would be due at the property and that my card wouldn't be charged until I arrived, which is how we've always done it with no issues. Whatever, upon him telling me it was declined, I assumed my bank declined it because we live in Nevada and this place was in Arizona and we don't travel often so they probably flagged it as suspicious (I didn't check my email until I got back out to the car), and informed him as such, but I was more than happy to pay now that I was standing in front of him, like the confirmation email had originally stated. I even informed him that I had cash to pay for the entire stay if he wasn't comfortable with a card, but either way would work for us. He told me ”too bad” so sad, I can't do anything for you because the manager had cancelled it because our card was declined. I asked him why he didn't try to call us when they tried to run our card (illegally by the way) to discuss the matter. He told us it was our re
