ロードウェイ イン(Rodeway Inn)

My friend and I stayed here with our 2 dogs for 2 nights. We wanted to stay close to Dayton as we had a weekend event there. Check in was fairly smooth, it took them a minute to find us a room, but it worked out and Staff was ok. The property could've been much cleaner though. There were quite a bit of guests in the building next to ours that had loose dogs and let them run around the parking lot. WE were NOT feeling safe about this, especially because we had dogs too but always kept them on leash. Then we ran into a few people that were wandering in the field next to the hotel around 10:30p. They kept staring at us while we took the dogs out one last time, so again, didn't feel 100% safe. The room was mostly clean with enough space for two dogs, cages and all our stuff. It was worn and the furniture a bit old, but there was enough space, so made do. There's not a lot walking distance since it's on a busy road, but 5-10 minutes from here is some very nice shopping plazas and restaurants. The wifi worked ok, but wasn't always reliable. Bathroom was clean enough and had to get extra towels from the desk. Overall, the stay was ok, but not sure I'd stay here again based purely on a lot of the things we saw (that I didn't mention here) in the patrons and overall feel of the place.

Travel to Dayton weekly for business and have this hotel listed under my "Favorites" in the Choice Hotels App. It is clean, quiet, budget friendly, comfortable and is in a great location - close to many restaurants (Bob Evan's and Perkins are in walking distance - as well as a BBQ Place (used to be OinkaDoodleMoo - now Steve and Tammys). There is also a good Mexican grocery store close that sells great Mexican food "to go". There is also "shopping" (grocery and otherwise - Target, Walmart etc) and fitness facilities (Planet Fitness is a few miles away) and a Panera (Coffee Club) as well. Stay here at least once every few weeks and really never have been disappointed. The Front Desk and Manager are very accommodating (like a request for a good quality office chair - or a specific room). The rooms are accordingly spacious for 2QNS or King (Kings have a couch). The rooms I stay in have a Desk, Fridge and Microwave, Flatscreen TV, and various other standard amenities (Coffee Pot, etc). They currently have no breakfast. Also a big plus (to me) is the exterior corridors. I can back up my car right to the door - Easy In Easy Out - Unloading and Re-loading my Equipment and Bags as needed. So if you're looking for a comfotabble room at a great price - this is it ! :)
