A stopover on the way North to visit some National Trust Properties and this country house hotel fitted the theme of our trip very well. We were in a large room overlooking the side lawn. The room was well furnished and equipped and with a comfortable bed, We dined in the restaurant where the food was good in quality and quantity as well as being reasonable priced. The staff were exceptional and should we find ourselves in this part of the country in needed of a hotel again then this would be our first choice.

I got gifted a voucher for a 3 course meal. I was unable to book a table via groupon, so I rang and spoke to a very "curt" man. I explained there was no way to book a table and please could I book one. I was abruptly told "no! We don't get paid that's why it's online" Not sure why it's a issue to book a table and redeem the voucher. I did plan on looking around the building as a possibile wedding venue. Glad we are giving it a wide birth now

We came here for our Grandparents 70th wedding anniversary party and stayed over night. It was amazing! The party was very well staffed with food being brought out promptly and cleared in good time. Staff were all lovely and more than helpful when needed. The green out the front was perfect for the little ones to have a run around and burn off some energy. We had a family room (2 rooms adjoining) and it was great! Lovely and clean, plenty of space for us all, comfy beds! The tea/coffee station was very generously stocked. We’d asked for a few extras (ironing board and iron) and the staff were very happy to help. Breakfast in the morning was great. Quick service and well cooked. All the staff in the morning were lovely and cheerful! Could have easily stayed another night!

If you are ever travelling up North and are looking for a wonderful lunch or rest stop, I implore you to stop here. The staff are so welcoming, friendly and accommodating - one of the wonderful waiting staff brought a sample of the soup of the day for my daughter for her to try before she ordered!! Needless to say we all ordered the soup. It was delicious! It is so nice to receive such attentive customer service in such a beautiful setting. Doggy and children friendly also. The grounds are extensive and have lots to explore for youngsters. Also, the most delicious ice cream sundae menu 😋 Please give it a go. You will not be disappointed. Highly recommended.

Excellent value for money. Our third time at Hardwick Hall Manor and we enjoyed it . Staff are very friendly and helpful, food is very nice and served on warm plates . We will return . There is a range of choices of food and if you want to upgrade from the set menu it don’t cost a fortune . The grounds outside are very nice to sit and have an evening drink (weather permitting)

Went for a birthday meal with my wife on Wednesday evening. Service was great, food delicious and hot, cannot fault anything at all. The starter was really nice, I enjoyed the beef for main, and my wife had the chicken. The bumpy chocolate pudding was gorgeous. Well done and thank you
