A little gem of a hotel ,stones throw from the town . Has large secure carpark .From the minute we walked through the door you could smell how fresh and clean it was room was large with everything needed . Staff lovely and friendly and the breakfast is a WOW ...nicest breakfast we have ever had on boiling hot plates and good quality coffee . A real pleasant atmosphere hotel also has a bar which is an added bonus . Lovely stay highly recommended will definitely stay again.

Very poor beds - cheap/thin mattresses. Room too hot - could only adjust 1 radiator. Breakfast average - scrambled eggs inedible twice, 1 fruit juice, little choice. TV in room unusable - "aerial" stuck on window cheap/poor quality, picture pixellated often. Recep/bar staff pleasant, not so kitchen/restaurant staff. Location ok - main drag about 5 mins walk across river & thru old town gate. Would not stay here again.

We were both welcomed yesterday by very pleasant staff, one being the Manager called Matthew who looked after us very well, nice interior of the hotel. Very clean and tidy, the rooms and bathroom were also spotless, the hotel is situated just a 5 minute walk from the town centre so a good location too. Must also add that we had a full breakfast next day at a good price and couldn’t be faulted by us both. All in all, and for the price charged, we considered it good value for money and will certainly stay there again

Our room was very clean, bed was clean and comfortable, bathroom nice and clean, shower was strong and no issue with hot water. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I think some of the reviews are a little harsh, yes the rooms could probably do with a freshen up but as long as they are clean and comfortable what does it matter. Bar lady was very helpful and brought my wife out another Guinness when she discovered the first hadn't poured properly, nice touch. Had breakfast on first morning and was very nice. Overall very good value and I would definitely stay again.

Perfect venue for our golf trip to the Monmouth area , staff were great , really friendly welcome , comfy bed , great breakfast , nice pint in the bar , parking onsite , great value for money , thank you Riverside hotel would definately return , some great golf in the area also and Monmouth was a nice place , ohh and a singer on the friday night was superb

Great location, staff friendly. Room was quite basic but clean, good amenities too. Good value and the location was excellent. There was entertainment on the night we stayed but it didn't disturb us, sounded good. Would stay again if we're in the area.

Great value hotel with very comfy beds and a great shower. Bar area is nice and relaxing or you can go into the other bar for a pool table and a bit more life. Staff all very friendly and top class breakfast. All in all a very good value hotel in Monmouth.

The hotel was very friendly all the staff very helpful.Unfortunately they don’t do evening meals there is no parking in Monmouth high street I have to use a Walker we took a taxi to some they suggested Got there no evening meals either we ended up going to Wetherspoons terrible food eft most of mine. The standard twin bedrooms need refurbishing and the twin beds were only three foot they need to get New beds in there it was very clean I think *********** need to look at this situation.we won’t go again.

Staff lovely ,near to centre refurb ongoing can't fault the breakfast No evening meals which was fine apart from the pubs in centre weren't serving meals Sunday and Monday so had to have chippy ,only there Saturday till Tuesday which made things difficult
